Blue Armour 4,439
Have doubts about Fofana, but if getting him means avoiding Maguire., do it. Vesper
Vesper 30,181
Player ‘now agrees’ to join Chelsea due to Tuchel’s ‘strong interest’ – Club ‘waiting’ for Blues offer http://sportwitness.co.uk/player-now-agrees-join-Chelsea-due-tuchels-strong-interest-club-waiting-blues-offer/ Chelsea could ‘make an imminent offer’ to close an agreement for Barcelona’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, according to AS on Saturday. The Gabon international’s sale can help the La Liga side raise funds and also lower their wage bill, which is needed to register Jules Koundé. Thomas Tuchel managed the forward when the pair were at Borussia Dortmund and doesn’t hide he wants to manage the player again, this time at Chelsea. The only one who seems to object to this operation is Xavi Hernández, who has always defended Aubameyang’s continuity at the club. Over at Mundo Deportivo, they say the former Arsenal man’s situation has changed a lot in recent days.

DDA 9,940
First of all, who broke this news on Slabhead? Is he affiliated with Man U? Secondly, if it isn't somebody affiliated with United then surely it has to be a joke right? If we sign this clown, it would be even worse business than Lukaku. If that is even possible. We would be a laughing stock. Vesper

That’s probably the only way to convince him to leave Barca. He wanted the extra longer term security.

LAM09 7,054
I'm hoping this is nothing more than noise, as the rumoured deal is getting worse by the day. I was against signing him on a free or even a loan.
Pizy 18,911
I’d be stunned if he sees out all 3 years of his contract if this deal indeed happens. Really, unless he absolutely crushes it in his first season here I doubt he even comes back for a second one. We’ll bin him off to Galatasaray or Besiktas who love an old, past it star player. Blue Armour 4,439
Arsenal got rid of washed up players like Aubemayang and are integrating more of their youth players to play winning football. For some reason we are choosing to go the opposite direction with regards to players. Starting to reek of short-termism. Also, this isn't like how we once got Giroud from Arsenal. Giroud was signed as a pure squad option, namely to give us a target-man. His attitude was top notch and we benefitted from it.
