Colwill going to Brighton permanently with a reasonable buy back clause was a great deal. If we now try to get cute and insist that it’s only a loan (which Brighton would be kinda dumb to accept) and screw up this deal I’m gonna be pissed.

We want the best deal for ourselves at the end of the day. Both deals are supposedly separate, so the ball should be in our court.

If they were to lower the price as a result, that would be a different story.

Why? We are paying the full valuation on Cucurella. Why should Brighton dictate how we should sell or loan Colwill?

Because they have him under a long contract and apparently will ONLY sell if Colwill goes the other way. Them basically renting him for a year in exchange for their best player is a shit deal for them.

Trossard is their best player

Honestly, if that is true something needs to be done regarding our wage structure. That is ridiculous money for a player who is going to be back up and is slowly declining. Too many players are getting fat paychecks. No wonder he is choosing to stay with that money offered. He is a great professional to have around with his experience, but for that money I would say it is better moving on.

Maybe the £52.5 is their discounted price, which would be mental.

Azpi deal makes sense for us, we don't have to blow cash on a dumfries or kwp (and RLC can be a decent option there if needed)... Hopefully that means we have more cash available to get Fofana over the line.

It surely can't be, as that was the price they seemingly quoted City & they won't budge.
