Superblue 6,372 Posted January 31, 2013 Share Posted January 31, 2013 I don't want us to spend huge money whilst we have no permanent manager in.Recalling Essien and KDB to go alongside Malouda and Benayoun would give us a lot better depth and in the case of 3 of them good experience. Bear in mind we also have Luiz, Mikel, Moses and Hazard back over the next couple of weeks and we should then have sufficient quality for the rest of the season - the rebuilding job can be done in the summer. Seeing as Turnbull is off at the end of the season too it wouldn't be a bad signing. We could wait till the summer though ideally and focus on what's more important today. Even if we're using him to sign Falcao it absolutely beggars belief that we would give up one of the best youngsters in world football. I also don't think we should sign Negredo. Takes up a potential spot for a better striker in the summer (don't forget the possibility of Lukaku staying here next season). Hmm I don't think Fellaini has the appropriate passing range in his game to fit the pivot role. Although he is strong and would bring that to the team, I don't think it's worth spending a whole lot of money on him (he will not come cheap) when his profile is not what is needed. We should have a deep-lying playmaker in the style of Pirlo to fit our style of play, and next to him a beast in ball recovery (which I also do not think is Fellaini).
