The Jackson saga is a shitty one and understandably harsh for Jackson, but the club are doing the right thing. We did not plan on Delap picking up a hamstring injury and now that he has, we have to put the club first.

I'm sorry, but that's just ridiculous at this level of management and when there is so much money and people's careers involved.

An injury is ALWAYS a risk in this sport. That's why you have squad planning to make sure you have enough backup options.

What would've happened if Delap got injured after Jackson had left and officially started playing for Bayern? What would our sporting directors have done then?

The point is, they should not even have considered letting him leave if there was no one else incoming.

After all the hype and excitement it looks like it’ll be a quiet deadline day for Chelsea now with Nico returning. Well, quiet in terms of anyone else coming in. Might be a madhouse with players leaving.

I just wish we could’ve gotten Xavi. Or failing him, someone of his profile like Fermín. I maintain that someone like this would elevate our attack.
