Villa and paqueta gives me slight hope rogers may move last minute.... to us or another club is the question

The whole uefa sanctions thing makes me think the cheeky bid for Fermin is the most we can afford to still comply.which would also be too little to get Rogers.

As soon as it's become clear we won't get the expected 60m for Jackson. It's off bar a pure players for him . A trade like say Jackson and George for Rogers. With  Rogers in side we could have Palmer upfront when required until Delap is back

Paqueta would be an excellent addition for Villa if they pull it off. I’d happily take him here if he was 3-4 years younger.

West Ham feel like they’re already in real trouble through 2 games and if they lose him after losing Kudus then yikes. They’d have to be a genuine relegation candidate. Jarrod Bowen must be desperate to get out of there at his age.

why is westham even selling paqueta? are they really trying to get relegeted as fast as possible or what

Maybe West ham doesn't have a choice, they've clearly invested in younger midfielders and they let Kudus go, so its only natural that Paqueta would be keen for a fresh start elsewhere.

Bayern Munich have told Nicolas Jackson to return to Chelsea after his loan move was cancelled on Saturday.

https://metro.co.uk/2025/08/30/bayern-munich-send-message-nicolas-jackson-refusing-Chelsea-return-24037156/?ito=newsnow-feed

Jackson was poised to join the Bundesliga champions on a season-long loan for £13 million and had travelled to Germany on Saturday to finalise the move.

Bayern also had the option to make the move permanent next year for £56.2m.

However, Liam Delap suffered a hamstring injury in Saturday’s lunchtime Premier League fixture as Chelsea sealed a 2-0 win at home to Fulham.

Enzo Maresca expects Delap to miss at least six weeks, which leaves Joao Pedro as Chelsea’s only recognised striker.

Jackson, however, has been left furious with Chelsea’s decision and has remained in Munich on Saturday.

Bayern’s sporting director, Max Eberl, revealed on Saturday that Jackson has been ordered by both clubs to travel back to London and believes resurrecting a deal for the Chelsea striker is ‘not possible’.

‘Chelsea said shortly before the game that they would like the player back after we reached an agreement yesterday,’ Eberl said after Bayern’s 3-2 win over Augsburg.

‘The current situation is that the boy is here in Munich, but we’re sending him back. That’s the current status; I can’t predict the future. I’m not in a position to act now. We would have liked to have done the medical and signed the contract, but that’s not possible now.

‘We’re telling the player and his agent they have to go back to London. We don’t have a signed contract, even though we’ve reached an agreement. He has a contract with Chelsea

‘At the moment, that’s the situation. I won’t comment on what I’m doing and how I’m trying.

‘We have 48 hours left. This isn’t a situation we’ve really planned for, but we’ll find a solution for that, too.

‘First, we’ll consider whether to act. As long as we can act, we’ll consider whether to do anything else. If we then decide not to do anything else, that’s a decision.’

It sounds like the Delap injury has legit sent the club into a panic ffs.

I’d rather sign an awesome #10 like Fermín than some random striker who will be benched and given the Jackson treatment once Delap is back fully fit.

Unless Delap’s injury is much worse than initially feared and he’s going to be out most of the season then buying another striker feels very shortsighted.

The Jackson saga is a shitty one and understandably harsh for Jackson, but the club are doing the right thing. We did not plan on Delap picking up a hamstring injury and now that he has, we have to put the club first. We are not United, playing in only one major trophy this season. We are competing on all 4 fronts.

Having Pedro as our only out and out striker is bonkers. That is if you even consider Pedro as an out and out striker. Depth is key. Arsenal already have three of their key men injured last season in Havertz, Odegaard and Saka, but people think they have a chance of picking up something against Liverpool. You know why? Because of their depth and they learned from their mistakes from previous seasons.

No time for sympathy because when our injuries pile up, we will be kicking ourselves for not putting club first. Our schedule will soon be hectic.
