You’re probably right that in terms of game time it would be a decent move for him. But his agent better secure a release clause if he’s going to be as amazing as some people says he could be in the future. 

Unlike years ago, player power is crazy. If he delivers and top sides come after him, clubs can't really do anything.

All you need to do is look at the Isak situation (three years left on his contract).

Simons to me is a better player than Rogers. That's my opinion. Yildiz is good but we should only sign the number of attackers that we can provide them competitive game-time. It looks silly stockpiling good players and not playing them because they are way too many in the squad. Imagine the number of attackers we have already set for next season and we are still linked to more. It doesn't make any sense.

I had to watch a couple of full matches Simons played last season. Mehn he is strikes the ball cleanly. 

As for Estaveo, how is he able to generate regular accurate long range shots with his tiny legs.

Gittens, Simons, Estaveo, Palmer, Delap, Pedro all have ability to shoot accurately outside the box. Opponents especially low blocks are in for a shower next season.
