Gittens would just feel like such a “watch how smart we are” kind of signing in that his playing style and skill set are VERY similar to Nico Williams but his wage demands are probably half or a third of what Williams will be after. So if we get Gittens and he blows up these guys can claim they’re geniuses for not going huge on Nico Williams.

Just feels like he’d be such an unnecessary gamble. He’s way more likely to just be “okay” in the same way that Madueke or Sancho have been. And that’s the last thing we need in a new wide attacker. We need someone who we can have a super high level of confidence will come in and elevate our side.

Gittens doesn’t look great but I’d be even more worried if we got Nico Williams. Looks bang average too. 
 

Aside from Rodrygo and if you can’t Rogers, I don’t really like any of the LW options this transfer window. 
 

Funny to see Gordon’s name brought up considering people were kicking the toys out of the pram a few seasons ago saying how shite he is for a CL level club.

Gittens does have the highest shot creating average in all leagues from his dribbles though.

The amount of players we are sitting on that we can coup money back on....Chilwell, Sterling, Veiga, Nkunku, Fofana, Gusto and you can add another few in there too but the wages off the books here and we need to start shipping out some of these ASAP

Robert Sánchez and Djordje Petrovic are on the market for clubs looking for a new goalkeeper.

Chelsea would listen to offers for Sanchez, Petrovic, Veiga, Chillwell, Disasi, Fofana, Dewsbury Hall, Madueke, Chukwuemeka, Ugochukwu and Sterling.

I see Petro going. He is on low wages and was brought for £7-£9m. We can probably get around £20m for him so that is decent profit for a 2nd/3rd choice GK (although I still like him most of what we have.) Sanchez I think is a hard sell and his HG status makes him useful as a 2nd GK. 

Noni I can also being sold. We can probably get £35m+ which again is a decent profit. I can see him going in a package. Ideally for someone like Rodgers.

I fully believe that sales will cover almost all the purchases we are going to make. the net spend will not be very high.
