Only plausible explanation as to why we’ve bought him is that he’s Lavia insurance as a pure DM. And Andrey Santos will hopefully rotate with Caicedo and Enzo.

Because if we’ve bought this kid so that we can cash in on Santos I’m going to be extremely pissed off.

caicedo, enzo, santos, lavia and essugo

well, lavia is always injured, so...

Worth also noting, Andrey Santos will be part of Chelsea's first-team squad next season. Although Santos can also play defensive midfielder, he's been given more of an attacking role at Strasbourg.

Chelsea very impressed by his development. Santos has seven goals and two assists in Ligue 1 this season. No chance Chelsea will listen to offers despite rumours.🇧🇷

Galatasaray

  • Victor Osimhen scored a hat-trick for Galatasaray last night, making it 31 G/A in 30 games this season. Osimhen has a total of 26 goals and 5 assists since joining on loan from Napoli.

Mathis Amougou will go on loan to Strasbourg in Summer as planned since January.

Chelsea midfield for next season: Enzo, Caicedo, Santos, Lavia, Essugo, clear ideas.

💣 I’m told Chelsea will now try to sell 7-8 players in order to raise funds to buy a striker. (@FabrizioRomano)

As much as some might be against it, I seriously hope we revisit the possibility with his release clause being out in the open. One position we don't want a "project" to be first choice.

I’m not against it but I think Jackson is slept on here, we have gone to absolute shit since he’s been gone, the space he creates for other players, his movement and link up are properly missed, he does miss a lot but we are a far better team with him in it.

IMO, Palmer plays his best when Jackson is on the pitch.

We're obviously a better team with him in it as he's the only senior striker we have in the first team squad with young Guiu as the reserve option.

Would be interesting to see how this team functions with a more experienced option up front.

Well its either that or fill the gap with Neto/Nkunku who aren't really strikers.

Feel like Jackson is at least 2-3 years away from being that game breaker up front.

I mean great we got Essugo over the line but these losers briefing they know what they doing is embarrassing, bet until next season starts we will get a couple more midfielders like Gabriel Mec and pretend its all part of the plan.

That Essugo signing is mint. Bloody awesome.

What's got you so excited?

I know nothing about the man - just glancing at stats, vs other midfielders he looks like a pure destroyer with minimal technical skill. Such players usually end up perpetually in the loan army until being sold on at a loss. Have you watched the guy a lot to know better? Or is he not actually destined for CM?

Hard to get excited about this one for me, maybe on the eye test he shows something different?

I think that has more to do with having no CF at all since his injury. Him at LW could be the move that works for all.
