whats happening 1,660 Posted March 14, 2025 Share Posted March 14, 2025 i am all for bringing in young hot prospects but there has to be some limit to this. especially if we know that there are (at least) two positions (st, gk) in our squad which needs a some serious strenghtening. so knowing that and yet we see splashing 50+22 million euros for talented but still unproven youngster, it doesnt make a lot of sense. it's like our board has a fomo with all of the young talented kids. next summer window will be a crucial one for me. if they miss out on bringing in a proven striker then fuck all of this. Maybe the club are trying to get business done much earlier than in prior years? If I could have one wish it would be to get all business done every year before the main preseason tour starts abroad, so players can get a decent amount of time together learning about each other and learning the manager's system. We signed Nkunku, Pulisic, and Ziyech, to name three, way before the summer window even opened. In theory it might seem like a wise idea, but I'd always advise on waiting till the season is over before agreeing deals to sign first team players (free transfers aside).
