Not sure on the timeline but there was definitely some sort of clash of appointments with him, Joe Sheilds and the 2 numpties. The Brighton stopper fits everything that Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca wants – he is insistent that a new goalkeeper needs to play from the back. Chelsea’s interest in Verbuggen goes back a few years – he was looked at very closely by the Blues in 2023 before he joined Brighton. Chelsea’s head of goalkeeping Ben Robert is tasked with looking at the best options, and we understand Verbuggen is emerging as someone of interest. He will arrive in London in June 2026 and will sign a seven-year contract. ~ @urieliugt Talks with Ian Subiabre's camp took place this week in London with the 18yo Argentine attacker expected to be available this summer for around £20m. Subiabre can play as a winger or forward and impressed in the recent U20 South American Championship with 3 goals in eight games.
