We do need depth in midfield (especially with Lavia's issues), but boy we only seem to be able to sign the same player over and over again. He has been dogshit for ages now but is still the only striker we have that Maresca trusts fully. Nkunku up top which we know doest work? He doesn’t even want to be here anymore! We gonna play 19 year old Guiu for an extended period? No striker at all and play all attacking mids? I could understand if the club went out and tried hard all month throwing big money at 3 different top strikers but just couldn’t agree a deal. But by all accounts we didn’t even try to go and get one. Every supporter, every pundit, every former player of ours, every commentator on our matches has been saying forever that we desperately need a top #9 and yet the club absolutely refuse. Tall, strong and technically gifted. He literally looks like another Rodri. They have incredible scouts doing their work. That club is just unreal. Then you complain and say they’re not ready for EPL. Judging by your comment you’ve only seen highlights. Go watch both highlight tapes of the player they bought and the one we did and pretend we can discern who is and will be the better player. Im literally watching highlights of both now and the Gonzalez looks more of a serious player to me. Amougou looks like he has potential though. A little Camavinga in him.
