This guy is making due with whatever limited minutes he is getting while Noni pulls trash after trash performance but most don't mind it. I have zero hate for Felix I just think he is not the type of player for us (I wish he was, I think he is fun to watch) there are many teams (good teams) he would be better suited for he would be a monster at Atalanta, for instance same for Bayer Leverkusen or Eintracht Franfurt Dortmund perhaps Edited January 22 by Vesper Blue Armour, mkh and Tomo

It's not strange at all. We know him. He has played for the club before. He was employed as a false 9 because he can't play anywhere else in modern football, and he's not good enough as a false 9 for a club like Chelsea. He's not a new player waiting to show his stuff; we all know his game from his performances at Chelsea, in Spain, and for Portugal. 🤷♂️ Is it really a surprise that Maresca does not seem to rate him either? mkh and Tomo 1

The problem isn't that he doesn't rate him, problem is that he rates worse players than him instead of making the most of what he has at his disposal right now. Serial losers like Noni should be on the bench indefinitely, guy was celebrating and screaming for pushing a ball that was going in anyways whereas being complete wank otherwise. Think he lacks skill -- the selfishness bit only makes it worse as it is on display when we have to defend. Still it's a team balance thing: if we had Sancho on the left, Felix on the right, and Cole in the center, we would lose a lot more than win. Just not enough people doing the defensive tasks. Vesper 30,195
Gyökeres top scorer for the last year https://football-observatory.com/WeeklyPost488 The 488th CIES Football Observatory Weekly Post presents the 100 players who have scored the most goals in official club or national team matches (senior, U23 or U21) over the last year. Sporting CP's Swede Viktor Gyökeres is clearly at the top of the list with no fewer than 64 goals: 54 for his club and 10 at national team level. Erling Haaland (Manchester City and Norway) and Harry Kane (Bayern Munich and England) complete the podium with 52 and 47 goals respectively. In terms of goal frequency, the top three are Irishman Garbhan Coughlan of Cashmere Technical in New Zealand (one goal every 43 minutes), Japan's Tomoyuki Doi of Geylang United in Singapore, and Uruguay's Martín Cauteruccio of Sporting Cristal in Peru. The Post also presents the rankings for the last two and three years. Over the last two years, nobody has scored more goals than Erling Haaland (101), while Kylian Mbappé tops the last-three-year list with 147 goals. The youngest player in last year's top 100 is the Spaniard Chupete (Atlético Malagueño), while the evergreen Cristiano Ronaldo (Al-Nassr and Portugal) is the oldest. Highest number of goals scored in official matches Club domestic (CL-DOM) or international competitions (CL-INT) and national team matches senior, U23 or U21 (TM-NAT)

Pizy 18,926
Just push harder for Douglas Luiz on loan and buy a striker. That would be a perfectly acceptable January window. Forget doing something really fucking dumb like splashing insane money on Garnacho. Vesper, bluesman2610 and mkh

Plus, buying actually decent, developed players didn't fit the club policy, even though it seems like a reasonable move regarding few positions and that I can somewhat understand, repeating Thiago Silva case any time soon seem mathematically unlikely. I don't remember us having to recall Courtois or Christensen when they were on development loans. Would make more sense to cancel Ugo's loan at Southampton, considering they are likely to be relegated with or without him. Its difficult though because we risk running players into the ground in MF due to constant injuries to Lavia especially. And those situations were different. We didn’t recall Courtois because we had Cech who was always available, same with Christensen as we had Azpi, Cahill, Luiz & Terry who were always available. Even Ake was recalled for 6 month with Conte. If Ugo is better than Santos ok recall him. But he is probably isn’t. But yeah whoever’s better and the managers preference, recall them as their will be a lot of minutes given the likely sales of KDH & Casadei on top of Lavia’s injuries. Not to mention we cannot afford to run Caicedo into the ground if Lavia is going to be out every 3rd game. Maresca is almost doing this to Cole as well basically because he doesn’t trust Nkunku or Felix. It will bite us on the arse.
