Getafe agreed a late deal with Chelsea for Alex Matos around 8pm tonight. The deal fell through because they couldn’t register him on time with LA LIGA. 

A lot of frustrated players left at Cobham. Some of the young players want to move to Portugal.

Chelsea’s offer to Osimhen revealed: €4m per season guaranteed, plus another €4m in bonuses (€2m for UCL qualification and €2m for goals and appearances), the €4m guaranteed is LESS THAN HALF of his Napoli salary. @DiMarzio

People need to keep some perspective I feel. True, we don’t have a marquee striker but between Palmer, Neto, Nkunku, Felix, and Jackson that should be plenty of goals to get us into contention for 3rd/4th. If Sancho miraculously turns things around that’s a significant upgrade on Mudryk who barely looks like a footballer.

I’d be depressed if Newcastle, United, Villa, Liverpool etc all had 10 out of 10 windows whilst we signed dross. But none of them made moves so good that we should be thinking “yikes, we got left behind.” Newscaster signed basically nobody, Liverpool signed ONE player who is a huge injury risk. United signed some players that should be good but don’t look like big game changers to me.

We should be fine as long as there’s steady improvement and comfort within this new system. Oh, and if key players like Lavia can keep fit.

That is horrible.  These youngsters deserve loan spells to go out and develop their skills.  Matos looked good on loan last season.

The CB situation is going to be the problem against the better sides. 

You can't trust Badiashile/Disasi to play significant minutes and we still don't know how many minutes Fofana will be able to play this season considering his injuries.

He's been on the transfer list for most of the window, looked like Palace would get him then there was nothing until deadline day with United keen on a cheap deal for him.

Very true. Just have to hope it gets more solid. The attacking talent we have is absurd, though. The better we keep the ball and if the attack is clinical like we were against Wolves then the defense should be less vulnerable.

Imagine getting offered €30-40m per year in the morning and then we come in after he said no to Saudi to wait for us and we offer €4m.
