MoroccanBlue 5,385
Think with Toney our attack is set. So much versatility in Palmer, Neto, Nkuku, and Felix.
Special Juan 28,205
None of the big fish have reported Toney to us so it's Sky Kaveh being SKY Kaveh again Strike
IMissEden 21
Ykw Mudryk would actually suit Real Betis if Pellegrini is still there. Shame they’d afford 5M € and cover 15k a week wages. I just mean for his own sake. He could learn enough there and one day be useful. SHOULD WE LOAN HIM FOR 3 SEASONOS? Long contract
Pizy 18,996
Ivan Toney is someone I’d have to see performing in our team before I believe he’s good enough. Because at the moment he looks like one of the countless strikers we’ve seen light it up for a small club and then become extremely underwhelming when they take a massive step up. If we’re talking purely about his skill set he probably does fit a Maresca side better than Osimhen. But is he good enough quality wise? Man, that’s tough to say…

Quite literally had one good season and it was filled with penalties. He is 28, had plenty of controversy around him, and just doesn't stand out at doing anything amazing. This is like a worse version of Demba Ba situation. mkh
Special Juan 28,205
Be thankful it has only been broken by SKY and not Ornstein or Fab, tells me it's click shit again and us tyring to get Osimhen from his little cave he's in I'm confident we Osimhen Thor

If we saw breaking news that Toney was joining someone like Fulham or West Ham or Wolves id say "yeah, thats probably his level." A step up from Brentford in terms of club size but not somewhere with UCL ambitions.
Duppy Conqueror 1,558
Osimhen has a higher ceiling but Toney has a higher floor. Toney somewhat proven in PL,despite his age is as hungry as ever so opposite of a Sterling.he'll be 29 next march so not exactly old and isn't a pure speed merchant so isnt going to decline abruptly.we have young CF's that should be able to step up by time he's done.he's not blocking development of those youngsters. He puts away what he should.an underated gift when looking at CF's when it should remain the most important. Signing him would rescue him from Saudi and from certain England retirement. Is only the previous gambling issue that is a red flag but really after the punishment he had last time that shouldnt be an issue. Osimhen has potentially more red flags and would cause more issues to us if he flops than Toney would. lluubbeenn, Vesper and Magic Lamps

IMissEden 21
Osimhen isn’t make or break for us making it, but could break it Toney isn’t make or break for us making it, but cannot stand in the way of that trajectory himself. There are numerous contextual red flags re Osimhen. Will to be here, wage structure, what’s on offer when he isn’t scoring (all seen to already by our other players, servicing; we just need goals.) He is tonnes more likely to be a bad move, vs Toney. Obviously Toney can be written off and Osi can’t. Is there 15 goals in Osi that Toney wouldn’t be able to access. It doesn’t look like it based on every season outwith Osi’s purple patch. He’s flavour of the year. Arose via PR, not hoards of fans watching Napoli games. Is a built up narrative far more than an ideal fit. Is a mark of, cba finding the perfect option, so let’s settle for now on Hope that this slightly different profile player to what we need, works. Yeah that goes well at Chelsea. Almost lunacy to inherit the tie ins and costs of Osi, based on one season followed by being shocking at international level. It is pure speculation with a lot of downside potentially, marginal upside at best. He is not Messi or Ronaldo. Just Osi. Unknown outside of isolated Napoli highlights and sought by - 0 - clubs who’ve been fighting for titles. In every realm, he isn’t worth the wages, and so to break structure for him would be betraying logic for straight emotions. IMissEden 21
To be clear, both Osi and Toney are below what this fanbase should expect.

Duppy Conqueror 1,558
Duran is far more raw and unproven than Toney. Looking at a small sample to judge him,in some ways same as Palmer was but could see Palmer had it (not saying that he would have the season he had last year but could see he had "it") i don't think Duran is available now anyway and with Toney being about to go to Saudi if we don't act now..we run the risk of losing out to all 3 of Duran,Toney and Osimhen. I think Osimhen going elsewhere with Arsenal and PSG raising funds from sells as we speak,is a real possibility. I'm relaxed about it personally as think with EM and the players we currently have, the false 9 option has more chance of being a decent option than was the case previously with us.
