Armando Broja has returned to the Chelsea squad after injury, and, as I previously reported, it follows interest in the striker during the summer. AC Milan, West Ham, and one other club from abroad asked about Broja, but Chelsea were keen to keep him at the club.

Chelsea believe Broja could be an important player for many years, not just for this season. That’s why they were always clear about rejecting any approaches for him. Let’s see how this season goes for him, but he could have an important role to play now that he’s back, providing another option up front as well as Nicolas Jackson.

Still, a reminder as well that Chelsea have asked to be informed on the conditions of the Ivan Toney deal, so let’s see if they add another striker. Ben Jacobs has more info on Toney’s situation in his column.

He should have been made a priority years ago.

It's shameful how Napoli have treated him, and I'd be surprised to see him still at the club come January (regardless of the AFCON).

It feels like a never-ending story where we're concerned. I can probably count the number of successful loans on one hand over the past couple of seasons.

He'd probably had more game time by now on loan at Barca, which says everything.

Did he not say he only wanted to leave Lyon for PSG move though multiple times 😂

Also it was revealed Lyon wanted Andrey Santos by Fabrizio Romano recently but, again, we never actually made a proper move to buy Barcola after he made it clear he only wanted the PSG move…. so claiming loaning Santos to NFFC cost us his signing is just utter bullshit.

no, reputable French papers and sources said he deffo was open to coming here

PSG came in later on

I agree that Lyon would have been a better destination for Andrey than Forrest, but that he would have earned, and retained, a place in L'OM's first team is not a given.
