And we lost him for free. Do you think what he gave us last season or two is worth more than potential fee? But Kante is not much of a issue for me there are better examples. 

People would complain about board how stupid they are to let Rudiger and Christensen go for free and now in same situation with Kovacic and Mount when they have one year left on contract you still whine how letting them go is mistake while club is doing only logical thing by taking 80-90m pounds for them. Alternative is to lose them for free next summer plus they don't want to stay. So basically club cannot do good either way with some of you.

I'm so afraid about tomorrow and potentially fucking up Mount sale over a few millions. Maddison with one year left on contract just moved for 40m and we got Sterling last summer for 47.5m. Asking for 65m is just greedy.

You’d think the club would of had somethings in the pipeline to justify letting these go. Forget the fees or wages or their ages or whatever, we are 2 bodies lighter in there (Kova and Ngolo) and have nobody lined up for coming in. And they were 2 of the much better ones we had…

And once Rice, Caicedo and Veiga go, it will be slimmer pickings - as it already is.

Have already said numerous times we should stop haggling for this £3m more plus £7m in add ons for the £65m fee we are demanding several times too. We are going to potentially blow that deal as well 🤣

Definitely worrying times.
The impression I get sometimes from some ppl here is that they may think we play in Liga Portugal where we can sign 10 21yo and watch them grow and mature into footballers (don't think that quite works there either). Then in the following season, replace the ones who did not pan out, rinse and repeat.

That does not work in the PL. It's a brutally difficult league where even the most inapt sides run like dogs and compete, at least physically. That's why it's so fun to watch. And that's not even going into CL, publicity deals, and all that shit we have little insight into. One would never have picked Leicester for the drop and yet.

Also, what's the obsession with transfer fees? What a bizarre thing to worry about. The only thing the new owners have is Monday! that should be the least of our concerns.

Time will tell whether the approach was right or not.

i think the club did well to sell some players, especially those who didn't want to stay here, but it's risky to sell that many players and not have any assured replacements.

it can go well or it can go wrong.

well, it won't be worse than 12th place, but everything will depend on the players that are hired, although i liked the acquisitions and even the rumors. 

Many of the players being sold, with the exception of perhaps Koulibaly, don't want to stay at the club. 

the signing of lukaku was a mistake of huge proportions. we paid 100M and only had him for a year. 

This destroys any medium and long term planning.

I understand that but both nkunku and caicedo, if we sign him, are two players who have been associated with great clubs and have come from great seasons. 

We are not talking about youngsters who have had weak seasons and are not arousing the interest of any club.

The club put itself in a very delicate position by needing to sell him, and there were many mistakes made last year.

despite everything, we didn't have the team to finish in 12th place. it was unbelievable. 

the fact that the relationship between the club and some players was worn out also contributed to this debacle. 

the cycle of many players came to an end and that winter market was disastrous. never in our lives could we have signed so many players at once.
