Good thing we won't spend that much on Oshimen. 

He is a good player, but I believe he will stay this season at Napoli.

No club will spend 150M€ on him. It's a lot of money.

I think the two big things within this are (1) it's been widely reported Poch would prefer to keep him, so if he did stay he's going to be utilised, and (2) from Mount's perspective he'll want a strong season before the Euros as it's no longer just a starting place for him now, if he has a similar season to the one just gone, he'll be doing well to make the Euros squad at all. He's not in a position to just be able to coast.

There's been similar situations of players seemingly on the brink of leaving before only for the situation to be turned around. I can remember Gerrard back in 2005 being essentially a done deal and being discussed in the media, etc as such and then suddenly a couple of days later the goalposts have shifted. That's why I think the club are more prepared to push a hard line with this deal, because I think there's a confidence there that something could be recovered if we went into next season with him in the squad.

I would also add JT to City in 2009 also to that list.

Not sure how true the rumors were, but they dragged on for the entire summer window. 

And also Lamps to Inter in 2008.

Is it? Much like KK and others simply getting him the hell off our books with those huge wages is a massive win. I don’t see some small PL club being able to offer him well over 100k per week. He’s a one in every 10 games sort of player.

Teun Koopmeiners Is such a good midfielder, De Zarbi is also after him to replace Caicedo. Won’t surprise me a year from now this deal looks like another Brighton swindle.

I think it is shit

we owe him around £12.5m in wages total for the next 2 years (IF we exercise his 1 year option until June 2025)

a £12.5m transfer fee only equals that, with zero net profit (FFP amortisation aside)

He is a double-digit capped England player, and is 27yo, fully recovered from his bad injury years ago

AC Milan are talking about him being a key player to replace Tonali

Lmao is this Mount deal is being held up over 5m, how broke is United? You guys worried about them going after Caicedo.

My feeling on Mount is I have seen enough to know what he is capable of, a very good player but not a player like Salah or KDB where I am like what could have been. 
 

Mount has been better than Havertz, still feel Havertz potentially could be a special player.

We keep talking about KDB and Salah, we already let that type of player go already he is at Bayern.

Whatever it takes for me to never see yet another manager think to themselves “hey, maybe RLC is good enough for Chelsea” again for the 15th time. I just want him gone.
