Tell them £50m all in one go and he’s there’s. I like Conor and think he’ll be a solid PL midfielder for 10 years but he’s not the top class players we had all hoped he’d become.

Would be sensational business if the club can get £45-50m for a player who struggles for minutes and probably doesn’t get any minutes when all our midfielders are fit.

In a perfect world we would give Conor a little bit more time and sell RLC instead, but there is no way we would get that money for RLC.

If we somehow manage to get £50m off Conor Gallagher whilst doing all of this transfer business in January, Vivell makes Marina look like a fucking shrimp.

Let's not force our hand maybe they will withdraw the offer if we want more. Accept it and laugh all the way to the bank.

Any 1 eles get the feeling that Todd is willing to get rid of anyone from the old regime including players

Hopefully Mount is next if he still has illusions of grandeur with those wages.

Both need to go, really. Gallagher, RLC, Jorginho out, and Zakaria sent back. Then we have room to get a natural DM anchor to play next to Enzo in the summer.

Behdad is the one that is steering this exactly like the Mudryk deal- From reading reports he's adamant to get it over the line and used to getting what he wants

Clearlake is an extremely aggressive private equity and hedge fund management firm with a boatload of quants who can twist 55,000 page (not joking, many are THAT complex) derivative contracts until they scream. In just two years, Clearlake quadrupled its assets under management to about $72 billion as of May 2022, since its predecessor flagship fund closed in May 2020. I would not be shocked at all to see their May 2023 report show well over 100 billion USD under management now, as they shorted the hell out of the stock market right before it started to crash and burn last year and also bought up distressed assets at pennies on the pound (well on the dollar, lol).

£50m? We’re never going to get an offer as good as £40m upfront + 5m add ons for him ever again FFS unless he plays every game and turns into some sort of very good player in the second half of the season 😂 Just sell him for that, would be a very very good deal for us.

Plus we have an overbloated squad as it is, trying to get another £5m for someone who isn’t ready to play at this level or been regular here is just asking for trouble when you take into consideration he came through the academy too so its not like we aren’t making a huge profit. Asking for more just risks Everton walking away. I don’t think anybody would pay £50m for Connor.

That's Romano for you. He has an incredible talent of saying something without actually saying anything.

Clearlake should hire him for their financial press releases!

So that’s now all the reliable journalists connected with Chelsea and with Benfica saying a mega, €100m+ offer has been officially submitted after Ornstein just tweeted.

We’ve done everything we can do on our side at this point. We really want the move, player really wants the move, now up to Benfica.

Whatever happens now we can’t be upset with the club. They’ve pushed as hard as they could.

£45m for Gallagher would be good business, throw in a buy back clause at £75m just in case.

Wouldn't even bother hugely about the buyback but I’d imagine the new regime may see that as a good idea. Same with CHO maybe if he goes in the summer?
