If Fofana goes out on loan then maybe I could see someone coming in. But we’re loaded with players who can play the #9 or false 9 role right now. And then you have to consider Nkunku is coming in the summer and Broja will be back as well.

GP in his presser mentioned he doesn't expect much more transfer movement this month and seemed to hint that January is difficult and top targets aren't always available.

I'm happy with this if true. Obviously it's critical looking forward to sort our midfield out but I'd much rather we wait to the summer if it means picking up a top target instead of a B or C grade option for now.

We need to sort out enzo this summer. He is such an upgrade on Jorgi. Kova should be staying, give Kante an upgrade and let Napoli take Jorgi.

Mount should take his 150k a week and be grateful for it. He is a workhorse but lacks the technical ability to be one of the greats. I dont see him hitting 20 goals a season like lampard any time soon. Havertz on the other hand should be given another year.

I can see why Brighton would want him now because this kid is not the ”usual” youngster who needs to get comfortable etc.

Chelsea’s Hakim Ziyech ‘offers himself’ to Barcelona

Hakim Ziyech has reportedly offered himself to Barcelona because he’s worried about his game time at Stamford Bridge after Chelsea went on a January spending spree.

Diario Sport are reporting that Ziyech wants to replace Memphis Depay at the Camp Nou and has offered to move this winter.

Barcelona are thought to have been interested in Ziyech before, but it’s not clear if they will try to bring him in before the window closes.

Chelsea have been busy in January signing Joao Félix and Mykhailo Mudryk and they are expected to land Noni Madueke too.

The new arrivals are likely to spell bad news for Ziyech who has only started three Premier League games this season.

Xavi has said he wants a replacement for Memphis but also admitted after the win over Ceuta that if would not be “a tragedy” if the club failed to sign another attacker.

Mendy, KK, Ziyech, Jorginho, Auba, Loftus cheek all need to go. Felix and Zakaria will head back, although both have a good case for staying so far. Maybe Kante, Havertz, Mount, Gallagher, Sterling, Pulisic, Azpi (eventually) need to go too.

Noni Madueke has joined Chelsea on a permanent deal from PSV Eindhoven.

The England youth international – one of the most exciting young talents across Europe - has penned a seven-and-a-half-year contract, with a club option to extend for a further year, to seal his move from the Eredivisie high-flyers.

Madueke, a left-footed right winger, becomes our second addition of the week as he follows Mykhailo Mudryk through the doors at Stamford Bridge.

'I’m really pleased to sign with one of the best clubs in the world in Chelsea,’ Madueke said on finalising his transfer. 

‘To return to England and play in the Premier League is a dream for me and my family and I can’t wait to get started. I am excited for what the future holds, the owner's vision for the future and to be at a club like this and winning at the highest level.’

Chelsea Chairman Todd Boehly and co-controlling owner Behdad Eghbali said: 'We're delighted to bring Noni to Chelsea. He’s an exciting talent who has proven his quality over the past few years with PSV, playing in a strong European league, and we are thrilled he has chosen to join Chelsea for this next stage of his career. We are sure he will form an important part of our team.’

The 20-year-old midfielder was born in Barnet and came through the ranks at Crystal Palace and Tottenham Hotspur before leaving England to move to the Netherlands and sign for PSV.

Madueke broke into the PSV senior side in 2019, before becoming a regular the season after, netting an impressive seven goals in 24 league appearances.

He was handed the No.10 shirt for the following campaign as he became a key member of the PSV side, providing six goal involvements in 18 outings, and has now opted to take up a new challenge with Chelsea in the Premier League.

Chelsea would like to thank PSV for their cooperation in enabling Noni to take up this new opportunity.

Never rated him all that much after he moved from Atalanta, other than that one big year he had (2020/21) that he has never duplicated before or since

we have bought several players lately who are examples of something I didn't believe existed till last season - a good player who couldn't play in the premiership! 

i always thought a good player could succeed anywhere. havertz ziyek & werner proved me wrong! 

there's been plenty of others if you think about it. cuadradro at Milan (I think) for eg. 

havertz is a classy player but I still can't see what he's supposed to be at Chelsea. 

let's just hope all these new signings aren't just Boely's scatter gun approach & someone with sense is pointing him in the right direction. Time will tell, 🤐
