“@RJPJournalism has been told Chelsea will actually ‘go in strong’ for Raphael Leao soon”

That would be a statement.

Leao will be the definition of a panic buy.

Watching 5 seconds of him and you can see he wouldn't survive in the Prem.

I don't think you spend that much on a player on a whim. Anyone who watched him on a regular basis last season would be familiar with all his qualities.

As I mentioned before the window opened, he's the best winger in that age bracket and could be amongst the elite should he continue on the same trajectory.

Assuming Ake and Kimpembe goes through only we can invest over 160m and feel worse than last year.

how?

sterling is better than any of our attackers

and kimpembe is not worst than christensen of last season. even aké can performe like christensen performed last year

In addition he won't get getting a starting role here..

Defense is definitely worse unless Tuchel works some magic on them, the age gap is older with this crop of defenders, all on massive contracts and no way to move either of them for years unlike Christensen and Rudiger. Attack is better but I don't see Sterling being a match winner, midfield is older and worse now. Overall we will be lucky to have a similar road to last season and not worry of making Top 4, what I expect is a massive struggle to get Top 4.

Feels like another disappointing summer where we got whatever player we could get in defense and hope it works, all old with no chance of improving, least with Colwill it was exciting to see him develop and how good he could get.

There is no way you can tell me Rudiger and Christensen are better than Koulibaly and Kimpembe.

I swear some people have recency bias when it comes to the former two. We wanted them gone before Tuchel.

This is not true...we may doubt or br controversial about the quality of Kimpembe and Ake but not Koulibaly...then bringing age into the equation aside the fact that signing Kalidou is top class statement Azpi Alonso Rudiger and Christensen for Koulibaly Kimpembe and Ake is definitely upgrade of quality...then Chalobah and Colwill are 23 and 20...

Short memories mate..Just need to look at the recent performance of Christensen against Vinicius in champions league quarter final against madrid to remind people of the Christensen we use to know...

What in the world.

He is a massive, strong winger with speed and creativity. What exactly is he missing for the prem?

He is more suited than a lot of guys.

I want you to be right, but I just don't see it. Looks like a player that struggles in close proximities.

The question about Leão isn’t going to be about whether he can physically hold up in the PL. That’s a silly concern. He’s built like a beast and as I said yesterday has a physique that looks exactly like Zaha’s.

My concern with him would be whether his crazy skills and dribbling over in Serie A will translate against much better competition. The same question I have about that dude Antony from Ajax that United are after. Will they be able to effortlessly dribble everyone and be as decisive in the final third as they are in much weaker leagues or will they just look like clowns?

The problem is lack of goal instint.

Leao already said that he need to improve his finish.

If we propose 60M + Ziyech I don't think that is a bad deal to both clubs
