It's a shame that it looks like the sanctions are going to leave us in a position where we can't pursue these opportunities. watching him boss the game now, I am SO pissed that we did not grab Nico Schlotterbeck for CB! 🤬 real deal beast Edited May 21, 2022 by Vesper
Superblue 6,372
I don't know why but I have a feeling we might end up getting linked with Neymar this summer.

Pizy 18,942
Hope Dembele to PSG is bogus but I have a feeling it’s not. He’ll just be riding their bench more often than not but the draw of playing in Paris as a Frenchman is likely too strong. He’d be great as our marquee attacking signing on a free. 😔 Vesper

His fitness record has been questionable his whole PSG career too, he averages less than 20 league games a year. Vesper

What are they going to give him in 2 years time and this starts back up again? The funny thing is if they took that money and built a team instead of this obsession with superstar signings, they might have a more solid and sustainable base from which to challenge for the Champions League. I was disappointed losing Courtois, heartbroken to lose Hazard, and frustrated we're now losing Rudiger but I'd much rather the club draw a line in the sand with how far they're willing to push. manpe, Fernando, Vesper and 3 others

It wasn't aimed at you specifically, I just don't believe you have to be 6 ft + to be a very good centre half. Especially when we are taking about 80mm difference from say kounde to ruban dias. Pizy 18,942
Feels like nearly every player we’ve been linked with is going to have their future sewn up before we even have a chance to speak with them. And never mind being in the back foot in terms incomings, us not having an owner in place yet will cause a delay in getting rid of our own players as well. They’ve been planning for Mbappe for years now. Probably Haaland, too. Now unless Salah decides to leave Liverpool or some young talents decide they want to go there they’re fucked pretty soon since all their important players are old as hell. IF true that is around £1.1 BILLION gross pay-out over 5 years that is insane but, in the overall scheme of things pocket change when you compare it to multi billionaires wealth the really troubling part is: He will help decide the coach. He will have a say on the sporting director. He can approve signings and sales

So far the only things that have went in their favour from stopping that (to a point) is Benz having insane seasons at an advanced age, and Vini Jr finally playing to a WC level at times the only add so far is (unfortunately) Rudiger, grrrrrrr, but they have had multiple huge misses now the last 3 years they have added (good buys in bold) (the only added players missing if you go back even 4 years, not 3 , are Vini and Cuntois) Eduardo Camavinga (this is on potential, he is not a starter for them atm) Reinier (potentially, but he did almost nothing at Dortmund on loan) David Alaba Eden Hazard (massive bust) Luka Jović (massive bust) Éder Militão (meh, absolutely not sold on him at all, but he is not a bust by any means) Ferland Mendy Rodrygo (finally seems to be playing better, but could perhaps go into the bsut category) but they also have lost Achraf Hakimi Theo Hernández Mateo Kovacic Marcos Llorente Raphaël Varane Sergio Ramos (would be bold, but he is aged out) Sergio Reguilón Keylor Navas James Raúl de Tomás Martin Ødegaard Gareth Bale (leaves on a free, has been so poor lately) those losses BLOW away those adds IMHO
