They had over 50m pounds offer for Phillips rejected this January.

Yeah. Clubs in the PL are absolutely swimming in money now. Even clubs like West Ham, Villa, and now Newcastle will be spending sums that were previously reserved only for the elite sides.

City have now set the precedent for English players moving to other English clubs. Now if a young superstar Englishman emerges in the PL the asking price will be £100m if they still have years left on their contracts. Which Declan Rice does. Don’t think he goes for a pound less than that.

And WH will be shopping for a much higher caliber of midfielder than RLC or Barkley to replace him.

Wet Spam are an ambitious club now who probably see themselves as an established top 6 club who want to push for a CL place. I highly doubt they’d be interested in Barkley or RLC. They can probably buy players for £30, 40, or £50m these days.

They know that if they sell their best player by far their fans would revolt if they didn’t replace him with someone class.

I just really hope our board are ready to pounce ASAP if he can be pried away. He has been doing a little “wink wink” flirting with Man United lately (saying nice things about Old Trafford, Ronaldo, chatting with Gary Neville). I would be annoyed as fuck if we watch him go there because he’s exactly what they need.

Wouldn't say he was saying nice stuff about Utd. In that interview he admitted to being a Chelsea fan, not wanting to leave leave West London, chose Gerrard and Messi over Scholes and CR7 and had JT as his all time idol that he now speaks too constantly.

Nothing in that interview was pro-Utd other than it being held by Neville.

As for Rice the issue is that he signed effectively a 6-year contract and is only three years' through it.  West Ham are talking crazy money for him and hold all the cards. In my opinion they'll probably make him do another year as they won't impact his value unless he gets a bad injury.

Only way he may leave this season is if they get CL football, as at that point they may be able to attract some players they wouldn't be able to normally and may want to raise cash as it is unlikely they'll do it two years in a row with this squad.

Sule apparently agreed to join Dortmund 😑

Stupid move. Can't believe he will rather be shown up by his old team for years and win 1 dfb pokal at best than move to the best league in the world and challenge on all fronts. probably personal motives. On the other hand it's good bayern get a taste of their own medicine.

Baffling move, can't believe Sule is willing to downgrade that much lol.

Need to keep Christensen at all costs then. Replace Azpilicueta with Kounde.

Think AC has long since had his mind made up. Will almost certainly have already agreed to join Bayern.

He would’ve signed by now if he was staying. It’s Rüdiger we need to worry about. Losing both on free transfers would be HUGELY embarrassing.

Rudiger I think will stay. It's both Azpilicueta and Christensen that are supposedly off.

Kounde already lined up it seems. We need another.

This is all because you are overrating him. Dont believe any tier 1 team was after him. In PL Newcastle only wanted him. He is on the ball like Zouma.

Here he would be 4th or 5th choice.
