Plus I read an interview Rice gave saying his fave position was in MF.
The whole problems been we havent had a pre season so FL can even begin to get a idea of ALL the lads together to see WTF hes going to do, He has to use the games for testing which is shit.

The new signings aside, shouldn't Lampard already know who is shit and who is not based on last season?

Mate youre preaching to the converted!

If FL doesnt know HIS best starters by now summets up.

This is what scares me about him.

It is funny because on TC, people argue all the time who is shit and who is not shit.
Some people say that Mount has world class potential. Some other think he is another Oscar.
Some people think Rüdiger is a player with world class potential and near world class (I have read that on here btw. I am not making this up),while other people think he is not good at all.
It seems that it is not that easy.

Yeah but shouldn't the manager know better? Shouldn't the manager at least know who he wants and doesn't want?

I agree that he should know based on training and the matches, but our players might give him mixed signals lol. The stats of Mount do not look that bad, even though on the pitch, he shows not that much

When I look at all the coaches we had since I became a fan in 2009,I think the only coach that really knew who in our squad was good enough or not was Conte. All the other coaches made weird decisions.

And also Lampard said in a press conference that the sale of KDB and Salah were mistakes made by the club and he will not make them with Mount etc. Because he knows young players are inconsistent. With that big of a squad, you sometimes get confused.

Exactly why some people are concerned. Having a big squad is one thing but the manager needs to know who he wants and does not want and what is his best XI and who are the backups. Jorginho, for example, looked to be out of favor after the restart last season but is now suddenly back in favor(?). We cannot be in a situation months down the line where we still don't know our best team, best system etc.

Are you still of the mind we give him the 3 years to let HIS plan come about? Or you think we look again at end of this season?

There needs to be progression first, doesn't it? Everyone associated to Chelsea wants Lampard to succeed but if there is no progression, if we don't close the gap at the top, if we are still inconsistent as ever, then I think questions will have to be asked come end of the season especially after the summer investment.

Agree

I do THINK that WHEN all the lads magically are fit and well and are on together in hopefully the positions we presumed then they will be a proper force to be reckoned with,

I just hope FLs opinions are similar to the MAJORITY of ours,

The central MF to me is the most confusing. IMO it has to include Kai and Kova. its that other spot thats a bugga.

Not think this will happen, thats one position we're short on backups. Only way I see this happening if we're getting someone on that position else just another tweet.
Mount is our no. 1 BU as a winger anyway. CHO will only start in Caraboa and some FA Cup matches

I know managers say diplomatic things all the time but that doesn't mean they don't say the truth from time to time. With Kante, it feels to me like you're the one who strongly thinks he will be sold and wants to stick to that agenda even when Lampard has said he doesn't want to lose him. Moreover, Lampard has also gone beyond and above to praise Kante every single time when he doesn't need to and if you compare the comments about him not wanting to sell Kante and the ones on the CHO-Bayern rumors last week for example, there is a bit of a contrast there. He pretty much said "No, Kante isn't for sale" but somewhat left the possibility open about CHO potentially leaving.

As for Kepa, well, Lampard didn't say Kepa is his No.1 keeper. He just said he is our keeper and that we are bringing in competition. That was it.

Kante links with Inter, Kante links with Arsenal. The same Athletic that you are using to bash FL says that the only way we buy Rice is if we sell Kante/jorginho (as has Law, as has ROmana). But since it does fit the agenda, it becomes "my agenda" about Kante. Managers may say the truth from time to time, but is this the time? Its anyways a buyer's market, would we weaken our position in any negotiation tactics?

Also IF kante and jorginho are "WANTED" by FL, please tell me how is Rice a possibility? We are going to have Kante, Jorgi, Rice, Gilmour, Kova, Mount, Kai, Barkley, RLC for 3 positions?
