If we managed to get Werner we'd be set for years up front. 2 young strikers who both offer different skill-sets and can even be used effectively together.

And one of them will leave us after one or two years.

if we ever want to be a top 8 to 10 globally  (or higher) big team again we need THAT

no beating  around the bush

they help get us back up to level with the big boys

Ever since Sancho got subbed off in that first half against Bayern and his attitude was criticized for turning up late etc, it is like that brought out a reaction. He has scored in every game since and in some cases scored and assisted in multiple games. Defo has made him focus and maybe that level of discipline to drop him from the squad was needed. He is on fire now.

Second strikers don't play that much. Real Madrid does not give Jovic time due to the fact that Benzema is their main striker. Jesus only plays right now because Aguero is injured and Jesus moans a lot. Furthermore, he is not as good as he used to be because Aguero was their main striker for so long time and he never got the minutes to get better.
Barcelona plays only Suarez and not even Griezmann gets his Place. Origi also does not play that much because Firminho plays all the time.

Don't forget that the Second striker will only get the easiest opponents, so developtment will be tough. Playing in FA Cup, League Cup and the worst PL Teams will not make you better. This is why Halland is so intelligent because he only wants to play for a Club where he is no. 1. He knows how crucial developtment is Props to him. Also, do not forget that we can't play Tammy One match and the other Werner and then Tammy again and then Werner again. Strikers need consistency.

Thats just a rumour though from Kicker. Therr was also rumour he has one that is around 60m euros and it will drop 10m euro each year running upto 2023.... I doubt any club, especially one who are notorious for developing and selling for profit, would be stupid enough to put a 30m euro release clause in a player who has scored the amount of goals he has. Id imagine the 60m would be more realistic than 30m.

Dortmund were the better side really but they just couldn't keep out the defensive mistakes...again. RB Leipzig were absolutely ruthless with the opportunities given to them.

Werner can play winger as well

and I simply do not buy into what you are trying to frame as a given

and I REALLY want to see an option of 2 strikers up front

but by all means

let's just keep Bats as our main option when Tammy cannot go

that will work out just grandly
