France's efficiency is scary, they are able to amp it up when they need which is the mark of champions.

Hopefully they keep it and humiliate that terrible Morocco side

It was. Ref completely lost control but at least it somewhat evened out

today the ref rigged the game which was disgusting. Almost every wrong decision benefitted France.

England have to move beyond kane, pickford, southgate and all the junk he carries with him. There is enough quality there but Southgate with his favouritism costs them

I think the ref effect was less than what you think, but I take your point.

Some of England new stars are a bit young at this stage. They will become stronger players at euros and then next wc. Experience plays a huge part in WC finals … it’s very rare to see young sides in the final.

Southgate lost this too, england with his terrible selection. Henderson, maguire, pickford all useless

He waited till France scored before making changes. Reactive managers only have themselves to blame.

The subs were very late indeed. Even when I thought England was playing well, there was a point where the subs should have been made to freshen up legs and push forward.

I think mount was already warming up before the goal btw.

not enough time for mount and sterling Tbf.

Millwall Young Player of the Year: 2011–12

🤣

lol

he has plenty of individual titles. Like 3 PL top scorers and wc golden boot. But it's a team sports and eam titles are more important

On a different note, while England were significantly weakened by key injuries, Iinjuries to Pogba and Benzema were key to France. They looked like shit with those two in 2021 with their lack of intensity. Giroud adds so much to France. They still miss Kante but Tchouameni is a decent back up

The fact that Saka was taken off first was baffling. Theo couldn't handle him.

I'm sure Southgate's run is now over.

indeed saka was englands best for me.

Btw as a regular critic I thought rice had a good game. France did not block him to be fair, so he had time on the ball other players weren’t allowed, but he did pick up nice passes and was good defensively.

england did nullify mbappe which was one good thing the headcoach did tho.

Was similar when they lost to Croatia and Italy. They led early on and failed to close the deal.

Apart from the selection, the late subs and taking off Saka, the best player on the pitch, His match plan was too cowardly. Henderson to close off the the right side and having walker play deep they failed to exploit the acres of space behind mbappe.

France biggest misses due to injuries are Kante, Presnel Kimpembe, Nkunku, and arguably Pogba

especially the first two

they play better with Giroud than Benz IMHO

On a different note, it is so disgusting how a large part of the Arabic world uses Morocco's run to push their anti-semitic, anti-LGBTQI, anti-human rights-propaganda encouraged by Qatar and Fifa. A dark stain on humanity. I so hope France puts a resounding end to this

There was a bet offer 2.75 for both Kane and Mbappe having at least one shot at goal.
I did n't touch but I thought Mbapper was the easy one and Kane the difficult one.
But Mbapper had zero shots, Kane three.
About Kane the speaker said he was the mvp along with Saka - but before he choked the second penalty.
I don't see why you did n't like the ref. But early in the game he should have given the free kick - short corner to Kane. About a pen there it would be up to VAR who obviously opined it was not in.

Croatia might just go ahead and win this thing now. Impressive mental makeup they have.

Argentina still don’t impress me and a squad like Croatia won’t give Messi much space.

France weren’t impressive tonight, but once again England chokes in big moments.

Morocco is a nice story but the aftermath if they somehow pulled it off would be unbearable with all the political and religious reasons to back them for some…

Tuchel in for Southgate?
