zolayes 14,489
Perhaps I'm overall being harsh but I will always remember him as the guy who ducked instead of trying to stop Iniesta's shotI remember him as the guy who sorted out Didier when Drogs childishness could have cost us . capriccioso 2,545
Ballack? Ballack!? BALLACK!? FUCKING SIGN HIM UP! TELL MOSES TO GIVE BALLACK THE NUMBER 13 SO I CAN BUY ITHe is a born leader on level with John Terry and not many can claim that. We've had quite a few with a sheer force of personality like that. Drogba for instance is more of a man mountain than either Terry or Ballack. It takes quite something to captain a football team, but it pales in comparison to turning up to the Ivory Coast and basically saying "Stop fighting each other, or I'll be cross" to stop a civil war. Ollie 4,400
I'd be happy to see him here of course but it seems weird to get someone at that age like we've not planned for Essien and Meireles to go. A few months would be good tbh. I suppose as a free agent, nothing could go wrong.
Pacquiao 1,834
think soImagine what a fairytale it would be for him to return and win the title that has evaded him for all his career wow that would be amazing! imagine getting to a penalty shoot out in the CL final again but this time Ballack steps up to take the last penalty and smashes it in to retain our CL trophy! Pacquiao 1,834
age is not an issue Ballack showed last season that he has still got it, just like that ginger fella at united.
Tricky 301
I was glad to be shot off him, our midfield was slow as fuck with him Mikel and Lampard. We need more mobile players, wouldn't want him back.

BlueLyon 9,359
I actualy like that moment now, we won CL afterall and in 2009, ballack was still here Great player, we dont lose anything realy if we sign him for a year. Im sure he can teach Marin, Hazard,...some classy football. After Dr
Tomo 21,751
Usually i am against these type of moves, but right now i think this would be a fantastic idea.He is one of those few players that inspires you through his presence alone and he can play defensive midfield, it was no coincidence we went mad on the goals in 2010 when he played there. One year deal, what can go wrong? and maybe just maybe he can win the trophy that has eluded him all his career, while helping us making history by being the first side in donkey's years to retain it
Pacquiao 1,834
one of my memories of Ballack is in the dressing room after the F.A Cup final in 2010 where Ballack was taking the piss out of Kalou for his open goal miss!

ZanSnake 1,211
Pay per play deal, or a player-coach role for the rest of the season for an one year extension if need be.
Tomo 21,751
Was having a think about this the other day and i actually want this to happen now, i think for a year this could be genius. One year deal, adds some beef to the double pivot, replace Drogba as the ultimate big game player.Terry, Cech, Lampard and Drogba have finally got their hands on the Champions League, the trophy however still eludes Ballack. This trophy has eluded him, we as a club may have got our revenge for Moscow and Barca but Ballack aint.We are looking to be the first team to retain the European Cup since it became the Champions League, Ballack comes back for one last shot at the trophy that has eluded him all his career, it's written in the stars, is it not? He hardly became a big game player when he was with us in the first place. What makes you think a nearly 36 year old injury prone has-been is magically going to become one?And I'm sorry, signing him back just because the CL trophy has eluded him is not really a good excuse based on rational thinking, but sappy sentiment. Its clear that months after he has been released by Bayer that all clubs relies he has little to offer, is near retirement too injury prone, and is asking too much in wages for what he has to offer. Its good thing he club is not considering this.
Badboy 1,526
Ballack was a player I really didn't like when he played for us. He was stagnant in midfield and we constantly got overrun when he was in the midfield, he'd be a disaster if we resigned him.
Madmax 9,219
^ That's pretty strange because I seem to remember his performances in the holding role in the second part of the Double winning season under Carlo were a huge part of our recovery and subsequent victorious climax.
