And even then they have VAR and a room of 4 or 5 people reviewing shit on monitors, how can they not get it right? Its not as if they’ve got Stevie Wonder in there, maybe Steven Gerrard but No mention of it bar from Frank and Klopp I think, typical. That 2nd goal really killed our positive start and it was undeserved for Liverpool. Changed the whole momentum of the match imo. On the topic of Pulisic, we can only assume what we have heard from Lampard is true, in that he is or has been carrying an injury recently. To be honest I think he had looked a bit tired against Sheffield United and Norwich and Lampard was right to leave him out against United if he wasn't fully fit because he is becoming a big player for us, but he does have a history of injury problems and staying fit for long periods. I think if he wasn't fit to play the whole game last night it was actually the right thing to do by using him as an impact sub against a tiring defence rather than starting him to be honest. A lot of people on the forum were worried we'd burn him out during this period by playing him every game, so unfortunately we can't have it both ways. He will hopefully be fresher and overcome any niggling injuries for the Wolves and Arsenal games which come down to how successful our season will be viewed. I think if he kicks on again next season and can stay fit for large parts of the season, he has the makings of developing into a world class player which is huge for both Chelsea and America. I don't understand why VAR can't review the free kick to check that it was the correct decision. You don't want every free kick reviewed, and I'd even not want free kicks reviewed that are crossed in and somebody headers in, because otherwise it becomes ridiculous and VAR is already slowing the game down and sucking the life from things. But VAR is here and here to stay so in my opinion if someone scores a direct free kick from a 'non' free kick, I don't see why this can't be reviewed in the same way as a penalty. Arnold's shot was from 30 meters out, the ball's trajectory was obvious, Kepa was well positioned to take a step to his left and dive for it. But he panicked. No we didnt lose beacuse of that but it sure as helps the other team greatly as we have seen through the season. The likes of pool and united players can dive as much as they want and the FA never punishes them, it never gets brought up in MOTD or in the media in general. Its a bent league.
