zolayes 14,489
whats a little suprising is the lack of interest in mikel from the other teams considering its almost sure that we want to sell him!!!today showed we have so many better options ... get rid Svita 10
The only place to be 11,313
Three huge games where we needed to be solid defensively and disciplined to get a result. Maybe for open football hes not the best but we aren't going to be playing swashbuckling, open, attacking football like Liverpool, Everton, United or City this year. Hes hardly been found out. I'd prefer to keep him than lose him because squads win you titles, not 11 players. Like Cole he didn't play in every game after Azpi displaced him but when called upon he was very reliable. CIty we played some of the reserves.Liverpool we rested about 10 players.Atletico we had players cup-tied and suspended.Without him our squad is no worse. Popular Post! Vybz Kartel 1,613 Posted July 27, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted July 27, 2014 His a waste of squad space at the moment to be honest, would rather we give his place to Romeu whose really really impressed me. Him and Van Ginkel offer options both at the back and front zolayes, Mufassir08, seanptmiller and 2 others
Popular Post! BleedsBlue 1,549 Posted July 27, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted July 27, 2014 He's been here for quite a long time but hopefully his Chelsea journey will end this season. Mikel was always the player who did the dirty work and for that he will always have my appreciation and respect.Hope he can go to a good club where he'll be able to play regularly. Honestly,it'd be the best solution for both parties. Blue Armour, Barbara, zolayes and 4 others
wilander 35
Mourinho claims one non-home-grown player must leave, the most probable one is Either F. Torres Or Obi Mikel. Now is the survival game between F. Torres and Obi Mikel. Muzchap

Clevemayer 764
still the discussion goes on...Thoe most possible move will be torres to atleti, cause we dont need FOUR strikers for one spot. Lukaku was reportedly told he was #2 and because of that decided to stay. Costa is obviously #1 what makes didi #3, so ft will leave if mou mentioned that one player had to leave.Alghough I will not min dif Mikel leaves and gets into a tem where he is more valued aund suited more to they're style of play, unless Mou decides to go back to 4 3 3, then he should stay... He is not bigger than Mata or Lamps, efen if I value him and think he is very underrated...
DavidEU 2,023
I think whilst if we can get a good price for Mikel and he wants to go he'll be allowed too, the club aren't going to ship him out if the highest offer is between 4-6m£. Still think he's of some use to Mourinho and ideally Mourinho would keep him. He was bought out of the dark to play the CL semi final and at Anfield last season so he's going to now be deemed useless and shipped out for £4m to make room in the squad. Vybz Kartel 1,613
Nothing pisses me off like seeing Mikel back in training still at Chelsea, its time we both parted ways I hope his sold sooner rather than later. By the way I appreciate all he has done for the club, its just time for him to move on quickpassnmove, DANILA, happy_juan and 1 other
DANILA 290
Rather let MVG be around the first team and let him play and let Mikel go. Mikel never had an abundance of technical talent but worked hard and did the dirty work, so hope all is well with him in the future. By the way I appreciate all he has done for the club, its just time for him to move on offloading Mikel is easier said than done - just like Torres. They are both on incompatible wages - with what they produce on the pitch as well as their valuation.Reckon the only way to offload Mikel and Torres would be to give them away for free, so that the high wages, that the "buyer" would have to pay, work as the transfer fee. robsblubot 3,595
Super Eagles midfielder, Mikel Obi, will stay in Chelsea because he is due to get his British passport in October, africanFootball.com reports.A close associate of the Chelsea midfielder told africanFootball.com that Mikel declined offers from Monaco and Juventus because of his desire to get a British passport in October.“Mikel will be a British citizen by October and that was one of the main considerations why he has opted to stay put at Chelsea at least for the time being,” the player’s close associate informed africanFootball.com“There are offers from clubs like Juventus, Galatasaray and Monaco, but he would rather get his passport before he considers any of them.”Did not know that... still don't buy the "offers" though. That sounds like agent's hype.

And we are selling himSo if anything it makes a worse situation for mikel.3gks (cech, thibaut, mark)3 defenders (qzpi, iva, luis)3 Cm (rambo, matic, mvg)5 ams (hazard, schurrle, willian, oscar, salah)3 strikers (costa, dd, torres)We are already 17 non hg players full. The quota is done. What's worse is due to this lukaku shambolic deal, we losr romeu too and he wil have to go on loan.If lukaku is sold, cech/mikel is also as good as gone. Shame he is the one who is most likely to go. So 2 from Cech, Mikel, Romeu or Torres must go then.Could we just terminated Schwarzer contract and put Blackman? kidding Edit :Ah, wait, isn't Van Ginkel still considered as u21? he is still 21 years old now. According to the rule "Clubs are only allowed 17 foreign players over the age of 21 in their official 25-man squads."Thanks for that, then it means only 1 from Cech, Mikel, Romeu or Torres must go? what a relief.
