Spike 12,049
Looks like he decided to start developing and changing as a player in the last month.
Kieran. 6,317
He's been very, very good. Under-appreciated.
Spike 12,049
Lately I've noticed that he been making some nice chip passes into in the box. Torres needs to get onto the ends of these, whether he uses his head or vollies them is up to him. Torres is very capable when it comes to headers and vollies but he just needs to be more aggressive in attack.
Kieran. 6,317
Lampard & Mikel have made a good duo. Hope they keep it up. CHOULO19 and Madmax

KonohasOrangeFlash 2,607
Can anyone believe the transformation Mikel has made? Most fans, including me, used to hate Mikel as a player. Although now he has raised his game and showed us how good he really is. He performs his role really well. Yes he gets caught in possession sometimes but to his credit this is starting to happen less. Also, many fans, including me, thought Mikel was not going to improve and that he had reached his peak. Well he is improving and is now a good player. I would still like it if we got a DM to contend with Mikel for the DM spot but Mikel has had a very good season, particularly the 2nd half of it. Popular Post! Kostas 1,468 Posted April 25, 2012 Popular Post! Share Posted April 25, 2012 IMO Mikel has been playing at this level for at least 3 seasons now. Manuf, Rambo, Kieran. and 3 others
capriccioso 2,545
I agree with Kostas, he's been that good for years. Most people never valued the importance of keeping the ball safely so he was automatically a scapegoat.

capriccioso 2,545
It was always Anelkalouda, Mikel and Bosingwa for the bandwagon.Wonder who we'll blame now that 4 of those 5 look like heading for the exit, with one already having left. Popular Post! Kieran. 6,317 Posted April 26, 2012 Popular Post! Share Posted April 26, 2012 One of my favorite players in the squad for a while now, I'm glad he's starting to get some praise. He was vital in both legs.Lampard and Mikel have made quite the duo. CHOULO19, Rambo, LDN Blue and 2 others
BlueLion. 21,491
His passing awareness still annoys me. My Dad was the first to point this out in his very first season; he has a habit of playing passes into danger areas. For example passes into players surrounded by the opposition. He needs to learn to clear the bastard thing rather than try and play out from the back and maintain 90% pass success rates.

LDN Blue 7,903
This is a must-read:John Obi Mikel is enjoying a divine time after tackling his red-card problemSometimes, it’s not just about going in for tackles, it’s about knowing how to win the ball without having to go in for those challenges. Now, I tend to be closer to the ball so I can win it more easily, to pressurise instead of making those silly tackles I used to make when I first came.http://www.thisislon...em-7763083.html CHOULO19
