Lately I've noticed that he been making some nice chip passes into in the box. Torres needs to get onto the ends of these, whether he uses his head or vollies them is up to him. Torres is very capable when it comes to headers and vollies but he just needs to be more aggressive in attack.

Can anyone believe the transformation Mikel has made? Most fans, including me, used to hate Mikel as a player. Although now he has raised his game and showed us how good he really is. He performs his role really well. Yes he gets caught in possession sometimes but to his credit this is starting to happen less. Also, many fans, including me, thought Mikel was not going to improve and that he had reached his peak. Well he is improving and is now a good player. I would still like it if we got a DM to contend with Mikel for the DM spot but Mikel has had a very good season, particularly the 2nd half of it.

His passing awareness still annoys me. My Dad was the first to point this out in his very first season; he has a habit of playing passes into danger areas. For example passes into players surrounded by the opposition. He needs to learn to clear the bastard thing rather than try and play out from the back and maintain 90% pass success rates.
