Like others have mentioned, many of the players now will have grown up watching Frank Lampard being one of the best players in the world and Chelsea being one of the biggest teams in European football always challenging for trophies.

If Lampard keeps us moving in the right direction i think he could be a big help for us attracting some top players to the club.

That seems more relevant to those who are coming through our academy. I'm sure Ziyech and Werner would know about Lampard's playing career but based on their comments, it seems like Lampard brought that personal touch, the kind of 1-on-1 personal man management needed when trying to persuade those two to join us.

Yeah, but we had it a little bit easy because both Werner and Ziyech wanted to go to Bayern last year, but Bayern never went all in for them and both Ziyech and Werner got pissed, so they signed new contracts. Especially Ziyech, who made interviews indirectly dissing Bayern, got mad. So lamps 1 on 1 personal management was something they really wanted and appreciated. Also, Werner will earn a lot of money at Chelsea. That probably helps too lol.

Love reading stuff like that from new players, added to that I love the way he said Chelsea pay me from the 1st of July, show a real good determination to get started.
