He won't be any more ready than he is now. And I do think he can play in the pivot. maxlev

MoroccanBlue 5,382
Gallagher would only work in a pivot if we have a sitting DM.

Yes but we need one either way, Jorginho has to be replaced. Sangare is a name thrown around that I find interesting.

People were worried that Tchouameni would be the next Bakayoko. I believe Sangare is absolutely nailed on to.
Fernando 6,585
We just need Rice. But he cost too much. Might have to wing it another season and wait next summer.
Clockwork 1,794
Gallagher is a B2B midfielder, I actually think Jorginho or a similar player gives him the best chance in the pivot. Or you risk a midfield that is very static. Some here want to move away from a Jorginho type midfielder, but I hope if we do replace him it would be a similar player. Ex Frankie De Jong. Not really De Jong is a B2B rather than a DLP. If you want a DLP, the likes of Brozovic, Weigl, and Neves are make more sense than De Jong. MoroccanBlue 5,382
A reason why De Jong has done poorly at Barca is being played out of position to accommodate Busquets. Vesper
MoroccanBlue 5,382
Where is @NikkiCFC? You of all people should be bombarding this thread atm. Thought he was sharp yesterday in the pivot. Absolute joy to have him in the squad and reassuring we have him as an option vs Ruben. Strike and Vesper 1

Popular Post! DDA 9,941 Posted July 17, 2022 Popular Post! Share Posted July 17, 2022 I can't wait to see the lad playing in blue this season. Looks soo assured on the pitch. Gallagher, Mount, Sterling, James, Chilwell all in the starting line up is really something for us and English football. Great stuff. Johnnyeye, Alabama, James and 3 others 4
