Benfica won 4-2, so it's not done yet. Either way, it should be a fun semifinal. Arsenal won 2-0, not the best result but Napoli the atmosphere in the amazing San Paolo is thrilling and it's Ancelotti, so Arsenal can't be relaxed. Fucking horrific from both of them. I just don't get Pedro. One game he has amazing technical qualities and can dribble around 3 defenders. Tonight and on occasion he can't control the ball to save his life. Kova and Barkley are absolutely redundant and useless. Neither offer anything going forward. I don't blame Jorginho at all today. He had no options to pick out at all. Giroud I felt bad for. Not a single solid service all night. Sadly, even Azpi is becoming a problem. Gets caught out repeatedly. Shame we did not push fo rthe decider in the end cos their defence was really open late on. Anyway a win is a win even though most of our players were absolute gobshite. Pedro, kovacic and Barkley were absolutely poor. Azpi and Alonso shaky. But for the goal i was already resigned to Willian completely losing the tmepo but his cross for alonso was absolutely brilliant as was Alonsos header so those two got a pass. Johnnyeye 7,510 Posted April 11, 2019 Share Posted April 11, 2019 We left it late as usual, and Alonso of all people bailed us out, i will give him credit but i wont get carried away thats for sure, its a win and more importantly an away goal, and we clearly will have to do much better in the 2nd leg to avoid stupid setbacks. Napoli were really poor by their standards, no away goal and now they have to win 3-0 to go through, if Arsenal score in Italy its over. Benfica shouldn't have allowed Frankfurt to score another away goal, its dangerous and if the germans do a great game in front of their fans 2-0 will be enough to go trough.
