Last Film You Watched

Hotel Rwanda wasn't that great. Pretty much about a hotel manager and a bunch of refugees.

Was that it?, nothing about a man who did all he could to save as much lives as he could?, he told the president constant lies and gave up everything he could to save everyone?.

You do know that's a true story don't you?. Do you understand how many tyrants there are in Africa?, anyone with a bit of power is corrupt, but Paul (the hotel manager in the film) was different. He could've simply gotten his family and fucked off, because he had lots of money, but he decided to take in as many people as he could, he never spent a penny of that on himself. He put his own life on the line more than enough, there was soldiers there going to shoot his family if he didn't pay up, literally braying shit out of them and aiming guns.

Not to mention how the U.N. just fucked off and left them for dead, Paul Rusesabagina is a legend, and you sir are ignorant. Especially to ignore what that man done, the only part was wasn't true about that film was the ending, how they just found them two kids and how the doctor somehow survived, that was added in. But he still saved hundreds of lives, when he could've easilly went off unharmed, not many people would do that. Especially in that enviroment with the power he had.

But no Batman is just way better than it isn't it.

The problem is people don't release that the rating system is between 1-10, most see it as either 1 or 10.

Well i think the Batman trio are quite overrated, i did enjoy the 3rd one.

Films what really get to me are the likes of Hotel Rwanda and such.

I also think CN's Batman are overrated, but for me the third was extremely poor, horrible story and major flaw. He also took a minor important vilan and made it a mainstream movie.

I like Hotel Rwanda, but you cant compare it to a Superhero film. We tend to compare movies just because they are movies. However, we would not compare a Cars Magazine with a Newspaper...

I never compared the film in the first place, i said that's the type of film i like. I'm not to into Super hero films.

The batman triology are good films, i just think there overrated, the 2nd film was very good, i liked what Nolan did with the Joker. He made him into a very clever tactician, who always had something up his sleeve. Because in the cartoons The Joker is made out to be a fighter, and he really doesn't look like that.

3rd one was pretty good just very boring, it had some great meaning to the film, i liked the scene when Bale had to get out of that pit. It held a very clever message. But besides that the film was getting boring. But that's probably because I'm not a huge fan on super hero films.

I wasn't debating about Batman movies however, as everyones got there own opinion, but it's stupid to say Hotel Rwanda was just about a hotel manager and some refugees.

OH MAN, I am so tired right now to try to convince you The Dark Knight Returns has tons of flaws...

I think Begins and The Dark Knight are superb. They are not "the best ever movies" as some like to call (that is why I think they are overrated). I love Batman (comic book) and he is not that serious, that is why Nolan`s triology holds me back a bit.

I wont extend myself too much, but the third movie is more than predictable, it is super naive and the actors didnt do a fabulous job. He wants to make the atmosphere so perfectly realistic but commits horrible amateur mistakes. Of course the photographic and visual effect continue to be amazing and the pace (transition from action and dialogue) is still brilliant, but overall isnt that great.

That is my opinion though, I respect if you really liked the movie!

You are allowed to like or not like whatever movies you want lol... I like the series, though i have always been a big batman fan, and it does have anne hatheway in a leather catsuit so thats 7 out of 10 before you even see the film/ ... Not the greatest film ever, as Die hard has that spot all to its own though...

Deep End

Never has German film company made a movie so inherently English. Made by German in English, with English actors and English subject matter and culture. Jane Asher (a very pretty redhead) is brilliant; she is so alluring and graceful yet strangely cruel to everyone she knows.

It's about a teenaged boy who takes a job at a bath house. He falls in love with a slightly older (20-ish) co-worker and he takes things a tad too far too many times.

Blue Valentine

I really like this film, I really do. Michelle Williams and Ryan Gosling are perfect as an immature couple that are too different to stay in love. Gosling is a uneducated blue collar man that is content with life as it is, while Williams is a career orientied woman whose growing frustrated with Gosling's immaturity and lack of ambition. This film is pure drama, so no explosions or fight scenes.

There are two things that bother me though:

Gosling's American accent. He kind of slips in and out of Southern States accent and his natural Canadian accent.

The effects of six years aging on Gosling are hugely exaggerated. But maybe not, I'm not sure how male pattern baldness works.
