This is why some were so intent on us buying golovin.

If we're not buying another midfielder this summer then RLC and barkley will play big roles this season because they're both miles ahead of bakayoko and drinkwater.

The team isn't defending as a unit. Alonso is slow as fuck. Ampadu is still learning the role and Luiz has been out for a long time. I wouldn't read too much into it. Emerson along with Rudiger/Christnesen and a defensive understanding from the team as a whole will improve all concerned.

Agree but we have been without kante and arguably a whole 1st choice defence and keeper. Lots of improvement needed in this department but we at least have big changes in personnel to help with this.

He’s been at the club for a couple of seasons. Definitely the best academy level keeper we have in my opinion. He didn’t feature in either of the last two youth cup winning sides but did appear a lot for the higher age group side.
