That is not because spurs and us are from london but because we got decent opposition whilst the other english team drew some bunches of clowns that have no business playing cl

Yeah do know that lol just how it's fallen.. Northen lot all through.. Us Southeners got the crapppy end/draw.. Especially spurs seeing they topped the group.

We could be been in the same position had we not lost to Roma..drew with Roma.. Athletico... Though I'd rather go out to Barcalona then the likes of another English team.

Just gotta go for it next round.. Nothing to lose.. And if we lose hopefully can do with pride. Tonight we did.. Need to do it again.

Incredible. Who would after THOSE two loses think that we could pull this off? Proud to the sky, game was so great to watch.

I told you Willian will be great in this game. :D

And Conte... Well, haters will hate. Bravo, maestro!

That is true but even with them, still think Barcelona are average in general with their play. They are still relatively successful because they have Messi but their overall quality has dipped a lot since the Guardiola days.

It is true but with dembele they will have more width and pace on the wing and Coutinho will have more impact compare to iniesta who is clearly on the back end of his career.

Dembele Suarez Messi

Coutinho Rakitic

Busquet

The Camp Nou doesn't make the Barcelona players perform better, I don't understand why people talk of it like it instills some kind of magic, and this certainly wasn't an off day for Barcelona, this is just how good they are, Iniesta and Busquets made no mistakes in passing and Suarez was good with dribbling and creating chances, they had almost 80 percent possession as well, by no means an off day and yet we dominated and they never even looked like scoring, If we play with more attacking intent and with Giroud I think, Morata looked like such a kid up front. We have a good chance of winning it.

Coutinho is just a long range shooter merchant.

They really were. They still got the quality to play it perfectly when it counts and they got the space but if we had been more attentative in that one situation where christensen makes that blunder adn also azpi goes to ground to early we would have won this game quite comfortably. If they repeat this performacne at City they will get hammered.

After watching Barca today i think City are way better team ...They are a machine with more pace and Relentless pressing

Congrats to the lads for this game, good result despite what many say, Barca are a very good side, lets not kid ourselves, all they need is one chance and its a shame Christensen made that mistake for Barca's equalizer, and Messi of all people scored ( finally broke his duck against us, it was bound to happen one day right? ), but it can happen, who hasnt made mistakes in defense? Andreas will learn from this, he's still young with great room for improvement, but already so assured and matured in defense. What more can i say? the team were very solid and organized, William was simply magnificent, very good goal, could have had a hattrick today imo, we were very unlucky not to win this game. We definitely shut up all who wrote us off before the game, i always believed. Its still all to play for in the 2nd leg, altough it will be much harder because of Barca's away goal, but if there is one team who can defy the odds its us, lets just hope we can get a decent result at the Camp Nou. I say bring on the 2nd leg, and no matter what happens im proud of this group. Cheers and KTBFFH

One final thought. We created loads of breaks. But we were unable to finish them off, the final ball was untidy and played with too much haste. We will get these chances in the away leg too. If we manage to be more clinical we will win.

There is still a narrow chance we quality in the return leg via the away goals. that would be sweet albeit improbable. The thing is in the away leg we are the ones who have to score now so it will be really dangerous not to allow them too much space. However if Messi has a day off even worse than today or picks up an injury, we are favourites. They are an absolute shadow of their glory days, only that badly aged front 3 other than that Paulinho, Rakitic, Umtit, Aleix Vidal etc are no better than our very own Moses, Fabregas, Alonso horror show. There is no doubt our vintage sides would have wiped the floor with this lot but it might also be a valid point that we did not quite achieve the same as our similarly weak 2012 side managed against their vintage class of 2012

If anything, tonights score will allow us to be more adventurous at the Nou Camp, atleast initially. We have to score a goal so effectively Barca scoring first won't change a great deal in terms of the context of the tie.

Now I've had chance to think about the night and digest the game, firstly its a perfect example of why football is so unique for providing such a rollercoaster of emotions. From starting the game hoping, to nervousness, then to frustration when Willian hit both posts, to elation and finally to disappointment. The performance was very good tonight, a throw back to a few years ago and its a complement to the players that having started the game just hoping to still be in the tie, we finish it disappointed to draw 1-1.

Everyone put in a shift tonight. Pedro wasn't at his best offensively but he run himself into the ground for the team, doing a lot of pressing so that Hazard didn't need to waste energy. It was also the best I've seen Fabregas play for a long time in such a big game.

The back 3 should be our first choice now for the rest of the season. Azpi is immense and leads by example, Rudiger will continue to get better as he plays a run of games more. I'm disappointed for Christensen with his mistake but he will have to learn and learn quickly. Unfortunately this is one of the downsides to younger players is that they will make mistakes (Scott did something similar against Hull) and will be frustrating at times but it's a learning curve and he has proven this season he is by far our best option in that position. I'm glad Conte backed him after the game and I hope he continues to do so by playing him as his undisputed number one centre back.

Willian is really starting to hit a bit of form now, alongside Hazard and I'm just hoping that it kicks us on now for a very difficult and important run of games.

Special mention to for Conte. He got his tactics spot on for me tonight. It left us compact, but when we had the ball we looked direct and dangerous. You feel that this was a game that really got him going and you could see that he was back to his old, vibrant best on the touchline. When he is like this, I don't see anyone out there that is realistically attainable that is on his level as a coach. The biggest question will be can he keep this little bit of momentum going and help us kick on again.

I'm old school Chelsea and proud of it so I don't give a shit about tactics and boring analysis. What I do you care about is the famous CFC and we were superb tonight and apart from one mistake we would have beaten the greasy pricks. Regardless if they beat us in the second leg in that soulless fucking amphitheatre they are just the epitome of footballs smug elitist cunts.

Cross your fingers for the return leg. They're obviously the favorite. Park the bus isn't what I want to see. Trust on yourself, take out of this 3-5-2. Whatever the result, the Blues must wet the jersey the beginning until the end. May God forgive us to have sold Salah, De Bruyne, etc.
