Term-X 7,891
^ he 'did well' at wolves last time lmaothis is ridiculous really, throw ivanovic out and play mancienne.
ZanSnake 1,211
^^ Yeah, but that was in the championship, not in the premiership. In the EPL he will be facing teams like Arsenal and Man Utd, or have you forgotten that?If he plays well against them for Wolves, and Carlo sees who needs to go either in January or the end of the season, i hope he can take their place. EskWeston 696
Mancienne isn't going to get hardly any games for us this season, especially now that Carvalho is staying another year. If he goes to Wolves he gets a full season playing Premier League football, which is a big deal and would make it easier for Carlo to trust him playing for us.In an ideal world we would be able to play him in our first team, but a loan to Wolves at this stage in his career can only be good for him and will certainly not set him back. The club are making it very clear they see him as part of our future as they are getting him to sign a new deal before he goes off on loan. diskoviolente 425
At first i was a bit unsure about the M.M. deals, but if he signs a new four year deal before going to club on loan and playing regular first team football in the Premier League - why not ?It is true, with Carvalho, Alex and Ivano we have the exact picking order.Mancienne will come back stronger i think and then will replace one of them defenders i mentionend. EskWeston 696
Sky Sports confirming deal done. Nothing from either club yet though......Chelsea defender Michael Mancienne has joined Wolves on a season-long loan deal. The England U21 international was at Molineux on Thursday to thrash out personal terms and an agreement has now been reached. The 21-year-old centre-half will be taking in a second spell in the West Midlands, having spent just over two months on loan at Wolves last season. He becomes Mick McCarthy's seventh signing of a busy summer as he gears up for life back in the Premier League.Wolves may not be done yet, though, as chief executive Jez Moxey has confirmed that the club continue to track potential targets."It's been a long, hard summer in terms of preparing for the Premier League and bringing in new players, and we're still looking for more even now," he said in the Express and StarSource: Sky Sports
Kez 2,727
Good move for him, but we can't keep sending him out on loan for much longer
EskWeston 696
Good move for him, but we can't keep sending him out on loan for much longerNatural progression, he has succeeded in the Championship and now he is going to have a full season in the Premier League. This will give him excellant grounding to come back next summer and earn himself a place. He needs to work very hard though, it isn't easy as a centre back playing in a team fighting relegation.
