Hybrid Angel 2,130
The utterly simple thing here is that at the moment we're a terrible footballing side. It's honestly that simple and the root of every problem we have. It mainly comes from the fact that Conte seems to have forgotten what pressing is. We're playing at home ffs! Where's the intensity of last season, where we would press from our front three and in case of any long ball being played, our center backs would work perfectly at the half way line to win the ball back and start the attack again? We're too deep, too reactive, and terrible on the break. A side that doesn't press is absolutely horrible to watch. You'd think it'd be a viable strategy for us since we're terrible under pressure and it'd give us a chance to be on the front foot. But no, the same consistent sitting back rubbish every game, regardless of the level of the opposition. Fucking dire.
Blue_Fox_ 2,086
Honestly, at one point I hoped Roma would win this. Can't really bother myself with certain players.

It's the fucking board that missed out on all Conte's first choice targets for the 2nd season in a row. Stop blaming the players. What do you expect from a team that fields players with the quality of Alonso, Moses, Zappacosta and Cahill? We won a championship but there's only so long you can get away with that. We're getting our wake up call now! Thought we had our wake up call in 15/16... apparently the board need to experience it again to realise they aren’t leading the club in the right direction per se. Mário César 1,280
well, and even 11/12 transfer market was mediocre. We are very lucky to won champions league that season....
Thor 2,717
Great result. Drawing to a team like Roma at home is fantastic. This is our ambition now, and we're succeeding. Happy to see the board fulfilling the goals they set out this season.

ccheongf 211
Chelsea players dnt help and run to open spaces so tht their temmates can pass the ball to. Back 3 of Chelsea will pass the ball back to Coutious. The keeper will kick the ball to the opponent so many times. No build up frm midfield to attack. Chelsea players are football fans in the field , rooted on the ground.
King11Didier 916
41 - Thibaut Courtois attempted 41 passes against Roma, more than any other Chelsea player. Bizarre. @OptaChels
BlueLyon 9,359
Willian man...everytime he fucks up a simple pass and tv zooms in on his reaction, he is like sorry not sorry I dont realy give a shit. And he had that kind of attitude for months now. He clearly isnt bothered to play, should be sold as soon as possible. That attitude is just awful. cosmicway 1,333
I don't understand why Hazard was replaced immediately after he scored the equalizer. 15 minutes remained and it was going to be a push for the 4th. Hazard looked ok and Willian could have replaced someone else - if Antonio felt Willian could be of some use. Our attacking sting was cut down to 50% ! gadget 126
Couple of point from last night... Defence looks shot, zero confidence with Dave uncharacteristically getting beat too often. Christensen and Rudiger should be playing more. Bakayoko has been good, but way too many pity fouls around the box (some harsh but still) Cesc.. I love what he brings to the team but the man has no legs, should be used sparingly such as in the midfield 2 only when we'll dominate a game and can cope with only one defensive mid. Cesc pretty much needs a free role Pedro(and musonda) over Willian. Willian is comfortable slow on the ball, one trick pony with no end product. Pedro is the opposite, never looks under control but will always have an end product. I know he's been poor but is like to see Bats up top with Morata see what he can do we are Hazard and Kante fc! -Kaplan- 410
Fuck me, if we're in crisis after having won the most "competitive league" 5 months ago, I can't imagine how the other teams are. Liverpool, Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Atletico, Juventus, Monaco and Dortmund are also in "crisis".
Special Juan 28,141
Again, highlighted massively how shit the summer window was but it's only now it's starting to show. Our performance was masked by going 2-0 but before that the warning signs were there and overall we looked appalling all night. The midfield was by-passed, the front line had no cohesion what so ever and the defence just raped a new arse. I will say it again, a shit summer window causes the majority of this, players tiring and only bog average replacements at the ready, we never had a window to build on being the league champions, we had to massively improve our options, we didn't, we are now suffering for this. bigbluewillie 1,930
This is the first time i've been on here since wednesday, I couldn't stand any more so I fucked off, i've only just found out the result. Fucking hell how lucky were we to draw? My observations are the similarity especially to the 15/16 season thus. 1: Did you see Conte's pre-match interview? couldn't understand a word he said, seemed totally pissed off. 2: This told me there is serious problems in the camp, I think he's lost the players, just like Mourinho. 3: Our first 2 goals no show of emotion, very unlike him on a good day anyway. 4: This fucking formation is doing us so much damage, FFS 3-5-2 at home and and allow them to press us so high up the field. 5: I love Conte but he's testing my patience choose a more effective formation, or we're doomed, and yet again it's shows the stupidity the board has of loaning out players, we needed Chalobah, Abrahams, Loftus-Cheek 6: They may not have made any difference, but at least it would have been a stab of trying to get things sorted. 7: To me it looks so much to prelude of Mourinho going, fuck up against Watford and I can see them sacking him.
