Álvaro Morata

Think hes improved the last few games, like mentioned he seems to be staying on his feet a bit more and his link up play at times is impressive. Finishing maybe could still do with some work but I think the physical demands and no winter break this season will be better for him for next season. Hopefully we give him another chance, hes a different style of striker to Drogba and Costa, which in any way is hard acts to follow for different reasons and I think he'll be a bigger success next season for definite. I can't imagine the club would offload him for a loss like its being reported in the media, its so clear there is a very good footballer in him, its just maybe been a bit of a contrasting season from his first half and second half of the season but its been like that for a lot of the players.

Think he's still working back to the player he was. Especially before the winter break...was very deadly when he first started playing for us. As a young player, I think he still deserves more than a second chance.

Just need to see how confident he was playing in the first game against Utd:

Heck even Bakayoko was playing so well back then.

Let's cut that young player crap, he's 25 and still searching for his feet so to speak. He needs to do something with his career fast or he'll forever be just a potential.

For all his troubles this season, worth mentioning that he has contributed 17 goals in all competitions this season (11 goals, 6 assists). That's way more than anyone else in the team, which I suppose doesn't say much given the squad's average-ness, but for someone in his first season in English football, that's a decent return.

Young was a poor choice of words. I meant someone who still doesn't have much experience of leading the line as first choice striker. Plus, at 25 there is still every chance of improvement. You can't say he's at his peak.

You mean 11 goals in the league. All together 14 goals and 6 assists in all competitions. Hopefully can get to the 20 goal mark. Not impossible.

Its funny he was prefered in national team ahead of Costa, despite being sub all this time. Now that he is ''starter'', he plays so bad that he got dropped from NT.

We realy know how to minimize the potential and ability of the players, dont we.

Or maybe he just wasn’t that good to begin with...

I hate these stats because it doesn't tell the whole story. You can score 5 goals in one game for example and be shite for most of the season.

Morata hasn't shown he is good enough for the PL. Yesterday proved it even further. If he plays in the FA Cup semis, expect the same result of him getting bullied by Yoshida.

I'll give Morata one more season, but we need another CF badly this summer. I don't want to put my eggs all in one basket for a guy who had only one good season 3 years ago. He's 25 now, he isn't young and raw anymore.

Totally agree. He isn't good enough to play the lone striker role. I think he would suit a two up top system in all honesty.

Played that role at Juve and the burden wasn't on him at Real. He simply doesn't have the characteristics

Why don't we offer them Morata and £60m for Paulo Dybala 😃😃

What would be the point? Dybala would never sign for us.
