In what way was it sarcasm?

If u check previous pages of the thread where he logically analysed bakayoko style of play.... people questioned his harsh critism of bakayoko....right now he is absolutely spot on....

Reading around just about all our rivals forums and they almost all think Baka is a bum basically and that Fabinho is much better. Because Conte would've asked the club to pay £40m and make him our undisputed #1 midfield target if he was shite. :D

He has the composure of an overused gym sock, and that's been the case for his entire Monaco career it seems. It's like he plays each game on 5 shots of coffee.
The main reason I wanted Fabinho over here instead of this transfer was because of the mental game; because I'd had enough braindead Chelsea players who can't see the game 2, 3 plays from now, nevermind lacking the ability to execute the right move anyway.

Ludicrous to even once consider comparing him to Yaya Toure, who funnily enough was far more in the ilk of Fabinho. On their best days, they both shoot very well, pass very well, run for the full 90 minutes, and top all that off with composed, leadership-like examples. But Bakayoko? I don't see what he has which Fellaini doesn't; the only differences being Fellaini has a gangly run, and he'll score every 7 or so games.

He is a good player though. Good. Good. If we just want to be good, we've done great.

I can't believe i suggested he was at least good.

He is the biggest disappointment this season. I expect him to be good because I thought a more mobile cm next to kante is all we need. But he has been awful.

Having said that, I remembered Conte said that he wanted to keep Matic and integrate baka slowly behind him. It looked like he knew that he is not ready.

as i said at the time..i didn`t like that we let Matic go and put all our eggs in the `yoko basket..in a year where we had a lot more games that we had played in the previous season. he wasn`t healthy and needed time to transition..we banked our season on him both getting healthy and hitting the ground running. Roman needs to fook off with letting likes of Cech and Matic go..although Cech earned the goodwill gesture..Matic needed to be told to suck it up,we still needed him to compete.

i wouldn`t write off Bakayoko yet though..still young, still worth having in the squad..just needs to be starting less until he`s good enough if he can manage it..give him atleast another year.maybe loan him out to another premiership team.for a season.

Barkley injury came at the worst possible time. Just when it finally dawns on Conte that Baka simply isn't good enough, his natural replacement in the team is out injured.

Pretty clear that Conte's comments about certain players not being ready for Chelsea were directed at him. This is what he alluded to when he first signed. He admitted he wanted to keep Matic. He's simply far too raw and needed to be developed further before being a regular.

Since we paid so much for him I doubt he'll be going anywhere any time soon.

I know Bakayoko is terrible, but just who would Conte play instead? Tell me?

Cesc? He is too slow for pivot, cant defend to save his life.

Drinkwater? Lol dude is average at best. He can do simple pass, but there is absolutely nothing special about him, no potential that he can actualy improve and make something of importance during the match. He doesnt have the ability to make things happen. That bandwagon after his fluke long goal that he should be starting games was truly beyond ridiculous, he is no where near our quality.

Bakayoko is awful too, but at least you can see a glimpse of something during the game like when he retrieves the ball brilliantly or goes for a run forward. I know he often fails and cant make the basics, but when it succeeds, it looks brilliant. At least there is potential that he can do something and probably he will improve in time, but perhaps not here.

We were crying for more squad depth and then we were signing second tier players like Drinkwater or Zappa with everyone saying its great, its just good backup, when in fact they were not worth even that. Now we have the bench, but this bench is so shit and average that it makes no difference if we had no bench because Conte doesnt want to rotate, those players on bench are simply too bad.

What we should do last summer was ditching some players not good enough like Matic, Alonso, Pedro and bring world class replacements WHILE keeping those three on bench. That would improve our first 11 AND bench would have quality options. But we bought average players and sold some good ones.

You could put a under 16 grass roots player in there right now, he's be better than that sack of shit. Right now, and even he's been poor, but Drinkwater is not and will not be worse than Bakayoko. Drinkwater is nowhere our quality, your right, the problem being Bakayoko is nowhere Championship quality or even bench worthy or reserve worthy right now.

Thin squad gives us this problem, I mean a player can struggle, to but christ almighty, not to this extent we are seeing from Bakayoko, his form is absolutely indefensible.

Club should never have sold Matic. Lot of people complained about him being slow and having a restricted passing range but honestly I think he would be perfect in a 3 man MF with Kante and Cesc or another creative minded MF player. Matic would play a pass that would look easy but it would be quick and could take 2 or 3 players out the game at one time. Sure hes no Busquets but he was a key component last year. Think people severely underestimated his contribution because Kante was next to him. Like mentioned above Conte reportedly wanted Baka to ease into it eventually, while keeping Matic, may have been better, maybe not. Baka has been shockingly poor though.
