just have to hope Blackburn do well, while he's playing for them, and that he gets selected. He could fill the void that was left by Santa Cruz.

Mind you, they're about to sign Nikola Kalinic, and apparently, he's just as good as him, maybe better...

Don't know how much he will get used, especially if they are in a relegation dog fight, Allardyce would probably put his faith in the bigger lads who would bobble goals home through fluke rather than skill :D

Would have preferred he went on loan to an Italian club to test him in a league that suits him a bit better than the PL, and where he might be a bit more likely to get game time.

This tells me 2 things

1. The marquee signing will be an attacker either a pacy forward or a pacy winger.

2. They have more belief in sturridge to be the option of the bench next season, we can have 7 subs now remember.

I think it is great news :D

Will hopefully give him a chance to get first team football. Also another plus is that it is only till January. So if he is playing good we can always get him back and give him a chance here.

Franco Di Santo set to stay at Blackburn as Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti gives deal the green light

Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti is willing to let Franco Di Santo stay at Blackburn with a view to a permanent transfer.

The 20-year-old striker has been on loan at Ewood Park since the start of the season and was due to return to Chelsea at the end of the month.

Argentinian Di Santo has been a regular for Sam Allardyce's side arriving in Lancashire although he has only managed one goal - in a 3-2 win over Burnley in October.

But, according to the Daily Mirror, Allardyce is likely to take up the option of keeping Di Santo.

The Rovers boss has also been linked with Stoke City's unsettled striker James Beattie.

Chelsea always respects the will of players.

Even we did some bad transfers based on their choices...

I think we would keep Di Santo eventually.

If we want to sell him to Blackburn, we would sell him now.

If not, he is coming back next season with more premier league experience.
