Part of the reason Pato hasn't got a look in so far is that Traore has beeb taking his chances in the team really well.

If we let Pato come straight in over Bertrand, the same of you slating the board over a supposedly pointless signing would be the same ones moaning about how Pato is blocking our youth.

Come on, Traore has been pretty meh, he scored 4 goals, okay, nice, but to be honest Kenedy impressed me more. Every time Costas was replaced for Traore, the team completely lost the attacking power, and Pato is even behind Remy in the picking order. Pato doesn't getting a chance only speaks about Pato himself and not a single thing about Traore.

What's the point of Pato really?

I get it that he needed some pre-season training work when he came but it's nearly 2 months already and he's still not playing?! At least Miazga already got some game time with the U21s yesterday but if we aren't going to let Pato play for the U21s to build up his fitness, if we aren't going to play him in the first team, then what's the point of him being here?!

All 100% correct of course but I'd still like to see Pato. Out of curiosity if nothing else.

I haven't seen him since he was in Europe when I formed the opinion that he was another in the long, long line of players who, while clearly talented, were not at all effective; a player who was more hype than substance. When I said so in the transfer thread before Pato joined, someone came along and railed about being fed up with people like me posting when they didn't know what they are talking about. He went on to explain that Pato was now fully fit and playing really well.

Tough to see how it could have been possible for me not to know what I was talking about when I was talking about was my own opinion formed when I had watched the player. Still, it'd be good to see Pato in blue once or twice. We have nothing to loose.

i'm not arrogant enough to claim that i know more than Guus about footie.

Thank you for bolstering my faith. So many on here scream and shout at Guus, and shouted at Jose, because those two seasoned professionals, who have proved their credentials over and over again, had the temerity to disagree with the genius opinions posted here.

Bit harsh, Costa's movement alone helps us create more chances in games, even when he was badly off form pre Jose's sacking we created more chances when he was on the pitch compared to off it, anyone in for Costa would weaken us tbh.

Hes far from the finished article but he's got a lot of potential.

Alexandre Pato is still not fit and is not working hard enough to earn himself a place in the #Chelsea first team.“ [Assumpção]

#Chelsea’s judgement on the Alexandre Pato loan deal was wrong. They are unimpressed and no longer want to keep him. [Lance]

After a month and a half with Chelsea, Pato is being considered by #CFC - to return to the #Corinthians in the next few weeks. (Lance!) #CFC

The evaluation of Chelsea is that Pato's loan for six months was wrong and there is no interest in hiring him. (Lance!) #CFC #Corinthians

Pato has not played since November last year, would be out of shape, has physical problems and is not considered important (Lance!) #CFC

The state of this guy :lol:

How the hell can't he not be fit to play competitive football after training with our first team players for nearly 2 months already ?

Just fuck off Emenalo, or whoever that made this shitty, pointless signing. Useless twats.

Seriously, this has to have been the worst transfer year in PL history, for any club.

One striker in Pato who hasn't and may not play at all for us, another in Falcao who I forgot was even on our roster and has contributed fuck all, a CB that isn't even here anymore, another CB who can't get anywhere near our squad, and a backup keeper who hasn't seen the pitch in so long I can't recall the last time we've seen him. Oh, and a LB who neither manager we've had this season trusts.

This is the kind of club management you'd expect from a side like Newcastle or Aston Villa.

but but but low risk high reward, at least that's what some guys told me before the loan, so no matter what it's an absolute genius move by the legend. :)

ahh seriously, can't get my head around why he can't even make the bench but i'm not arrogant enough to claim that i know more than Guus about footie.
Guus has done a more than okay job so far, yes, i think some of the players would have performed for anyone bar Jose, but i give credit where credit is due.
If he thinks Pato isn't up for it, so be it. We have bigger problems than moaning about whether or not Pato plays, no matter what Guus does, there's always an opportunity to moan.
That's our way, the right way, the Chelsea way. :)

Yeah, low risk. He is unlikely to stay. Nothing has changed. We will forget this ever happened in 3 years.

This has happened before with Minero, Falcao and to an extent Maniche, you can't lose with these type of deals, slating the board for this one just screams slating them for the sake of it.

What is wrong with taking decent but with a bit of baggage players (else they wouldn't be available for loan if they had no baggage) on loan for a bit, if it's works we get a good player, if not bye bye, there is literally no downside to it.

We could have signed someone better to save our season back in January.... you know ? Maybe Arnautovic for example, he could have been a WAY better signing than Pato have been for us. Plus, he would be fit to play as well.

There is no defending this shitty loan signing, the state of our club :(

The January market is difficult, its not as easy as saying player x,y and z come on down.

We didn't even create a space for Pato by player sales, he came in as a fourth forward, we literally couldn't lose and haven't.

Stoke and Newcastle signed better players than us in the January transfer window, not that hard for clubs of that stature huh ? We went ahead and signs two players that haven't even played a single minute for us yet. WTF ?

There is nothing to lose yes but why even bother getting him if we aren't going to use at all? 2 months in and he's still not fit enough to get at least 30 minutes of game time?
