I can't stand the fact people are paying attention to what SAF said. His opinion is based in abstract ideas. I'm sure he is not watching Chelsea games, he just want Mourinho to stay based on portuguese's CV. He was also the man who appointed Moyes as his own successor, thats enough reason to not listen.

I love how so many people complain about English sports media but they are the same ones who are the first to consume it.

I don't agree with your definition of stability. Peace wrote an outstanding post regarding stability not so long ago and used two perfect examples alongside his points, which I believe also represent where I stand regarding this issue.

How is the stability of a club that ages centuries affected by individuals such as managers or players that last at the very most two decades in that club?

Barca have enjoyed success despite having 4 managers in the last 10 years. Only 4 players are still playing in Barca. Despite the major changes in players, managers, and even the president, they have experienced great success by sticking to their identity of attractive and positive Football.

Arsenal were invincibles but then a group of young players that were trying to imitate Barcelona. Now they are a team that are satisfied with fourth place. But remember, they have had one manager this entire time.

We on the other hand with Mourinho went from acceptable football to beautiful football, then ugly football and now 14th place.

This goes to show that stability in football is reached when you establish a Football identity and the managers and players you sign are reflective of that identity. We as a club are a joke in this department. Going from unbeatable side in Mourinho's first tenure to Ancelotti's sexy Football, to AVB's team that emphasized on developing youth, to signing attacking players and at the end of the story giving Mourinho the control of these players.

It's just not right; we can't be jumping from side to side anymore. Choose what identity you want established in the club and stick with it. The next step would be signing managers and players that fit what we're trying to not achieve not ones that are totally contrasting to what we're trying to build.

A feeling tells me the board haven't learned their lesson yet. It's not a good sign when I see Simeone OR Ancelotti as the next managerial option. These two are totally different in coaching styles, and the possibility of the board looking at both as replacements for Mourinho goes to show you they do not have a clue what they are doing.

Someone has to be first and start building a philosophy. Rom wasn't build in a day either.

Bayern Munich haven't been playing this way over decades, they adapted to that in recent times.

How can you make that happen? You have to trust the manager.

Last season, i think it was during December, most of the Cules wanted Enrique gone, but the club stood by him and look what happened?! Not so bad, i think.

Barca did change their manager often, you're right, but that doesn't mean that everyone had to do the same to be successful.

You throw in some very huge words: "attractive" and "positive" football.

It's not that simple, Real Madrid wants to play like that since ages, but it's a bit more complicated, i think.

Jose Mourinho is able to deliver these things, Real Madrid one of the best attacking teams in the league's history and Chelsea 2014.

Before Klopp took over Dortmund, they played differently, Klopp implemented his style of play.

But as it has already been said, you must trust the (proven) manager.

Dortmund was after 55% of the played games in the league last at the end of the table, but finally reached 7th.

Furthermore Klopp stayed for 7 years in Dortmund, that's stability.

Tuchel plays different football, now they are changing their way of execution.

Everyone knows Arsenal and immediately Arsene Wenger comes into mind.

That's exactly what i and other Blues want to have with Jose Mourinho.

Arsenal is an extreme example, but over 8 years they won nothing, but they recovered and recently won 2 FA Cups.

But at Chelsea 4 months bad months seem to be enough to kick their once loved man out the door, very very sad.

You rightly criticised the indecisiveness when it comes to Chelsea's philosophy.

The most important part is for me that it takes time.

Now we have Mourinho, so we can stick with him, he already identified his core.

Costa, Fabregas, Hazard, Willian, Matic, Azpilicueta, Zouma, Baba, Courtois and so on.

Some more ingredients and we're more than good to go to win everything, imo.

But some bad spells have to be allowed, it's not always bright and sunny in the world, not Disney World.

Trust me, if we lose against Porto and Mourinho isn't gone, I dangerously worry about Roman and the future of the club. Because it tells me that Roman doesn't mind if we get relegated to the Championship (which you cannot rule out at this point, regardless how big we are). We lost to gutless Newcastle (at the time) and Bournemouth... we are definite candidates for the Championship if this consistent bad run keeps going.

I get it. Many fans here dreamt of having Mourinho as our long term manager because he has won the most trophies for us so far. But we have to get it in our heads, this isn't working.

I even question that if he's deliberately sabotaging our club. I'm not saying that he is but I have to question it. What happened in last 2 PL matches doesn't add up, and a manager who is serious would have done the opposite to what Mourinho did.

• We are just above the relegation zone. - A slap in a face already.
• We play Bournemouth at HOME
• Puts out a lineup which is stupendously bad with NO striker - Another slap in the face
• Knowing we HAVE to win
• Bar Baba, refuses to put out youth
• Terrible football (yes we created chances but Mourinho IMO put the wrong players out to bury the chances) - Another slap in the face
• Unable to score against bottom of the table Bournemouth (who lost to Newcastle, VILLA mind you)
• And when that isn't enough, Bournemouth who have been a terrible side this season BEAT US at the Bridge! - A punch to the stomach.

Get a photo of the Bridge and turn it upside down. That's the current state of the club and it has been like that since August. Brighton and Middlesbrough (Championship top 2) can beat us right now if we ever encounter them. I just can't see us beating Porto and on fire Leicester. Even if we play for a draw like Mourinho has been doing for a while, we are gonna fuck up with that unorganised defense.

2 points off relegation 15 games in. Nothing is happening. We only go in a short consecutive run when Tel-Aviv is in the equation. 1 PL win per month isn't going to save our butts let alone top half of the table. I'm so surprised Jose is still our manager at this point, but if we do lose to Porto and nothing has changed I may have to stop watching football for a while. It's like watching your best pet die over and over and over and over...

I don't care about top 4 now, I just want us out of the relegation battle. No top player in the summer will look at Chelsea if we just survived relegation, or lol - dropped to the Championship.

I get your point; lost against the likes of Palace, Saints, Hammers, Potters and so on, shouldn't have happened but it did and we have to deal with it.

As i said, we grinded out points against the Yids, Toons, Gooners, Hawthorns and so on, so we'll make it with Jose Mourinho, imo.

I think we're getting stronger and stronger, i call the performance against Bournemouth unlucky, we had the chances, the rest will come. The goal against us was pure luck, the defense was unorganized, it happens.

It's always the same, Mourinho doesn't change a thing, criticism, but when he does and bench Costa, no striker, very bad.

I agree with Mourinho that throwing in some 18-19 years old during this desperate times aren't the right thing to do,

too much negativity.

Maybe we won't win against Porto and Leicester, you can think so.

But with another coach it's not a guaranteed win either, you can't expect one thing in life apart from death.

Sad, when you don't watch Chelsea anymore because of losing, no matter what's happening, always show up for the club,

i can't demand the style of play, i have to be grateful and show respect, but i can only speak for myself.

Some people say being fan of top team doesn't make you a "real" fan, because you never experience true agony,

Why won't a top player come to Chelsea in the future? Because of one bad season?

Recently i have read an article about Marina Granovskaia, she seems to fully trust Jose Mourinho,

Even some of the hardcore Mancs speak some sense, but on here it's worse but it should be a goddamn Chelsea Community.

It seems Babs hasn't been wrong with her criticism, although i disagree with her proposed methods.

I won't leave this community for good, but spend most of the time elsewhere.

We're a black hole for positivity and good football. There's really no reason for anyone other Chelsea fans to tune in for our games and even then I personally have a hard time motivating myself to watch the games when I see what lineup Mourinho chooses to lead us to the promised land.

Exactly. As I said a few weeks ago, it's like their is a dirty black cloud above Stamford Bridge and it's name is José Mourinho. All of his negative (and sometimes disgraceful) antics, as well as his general moodiness, has come home to roost and it has infected the entire club. Defending what others have in their "mindsets" as indefensible is always going to be a chore, long winded and difficult. Personally I just prefer to say 'phuck em'.

With regards to Mourinho, there are so many media stories out every day with a different take and it is ripe for cherry picking for suiting different agendas.

Saying that though, a lot of 'footballing' people rather than your average media hack or online blogger are going along the lines that Mourinho should stay at the club at least till the end of the season. I think this is the most common sense way going forward unless there is a complete breakdown between the board and him in the meantime.

As I have said on several ocassions "he ain't my favourite cup of tea" either but as with every manager we have had (bar one who just didnt fit and it felt wrong), I along with the vast majority of supporters will always give our backing and sometimes vocally at matches as well.

Don't get get sucked in by the over analytical posts and threads where stats, names, quotes, figures etc etc are bought up over and over again to suit one's debate.

And lastly, the only ones worth their salt to debate with are the ones that can display some positivity along with constructive criticism rather than just a tirade of negativity post after post.

For those saying he should stay, I would love to actually hear what sort of footballing Philosophy Mourinho would implement, and whether or not this club will have any sort of identity to implement youth, as of course, his track record obviously proved he is capable of doing so. Not to mention if Mourinho will ever change his image that reflects quite badly towards this club as if we were inevitably to become the next Millwall in terms of hatred.
