Jase 43,479
The problem is that we already know Mourinho, and we do know that sometimes he is so afraid of losing, that he makes it difficult to win.Generally yes but in this very case alone, circumstances dictated his approach to the game. Jase 43,479
We get a draw at Old Traford and Jose deserves to get punched in the face for it?! Fucking hell..This is a wake up to call to everyone who thinks that we have the strongest squad in the league. Jose Mourinho, the man who knows our squad the best, thought that we would more likely lose if went there and attacked. We defended very well and got a valuable point. WTF is wrong with a point from Old Traford?! Very few teams manage that. Had we went and attack there, it would have probably have ended up like the game vs United at OT under AVB. Defensively then we were too open and hopeless because we went there and played a game that doesn't really suit us. Had we done the same last night, we would probably have ended up with a defeat as well. As Choulo has alluded to, our team is not really suited to playing an attacking game right now against big teams where our dodgy midfield will be exploited. Need to be a bit streetwise in setting up the team for matches like this.

nachikethas 1,154
What worries me is that will we not play the same attacking football we used to anymore? The whole point of this side was to play entertaining football and this is something I've really enjoyed. So wouldn't the team go to waste if we were to play negative football?when was the last time we played really good attacking style football against a good team. If you look back the forum you can clearly see lot of people were frustrated with the same thing.

That pen was incorrect anyway. Not to mention Smalling's goal was offside and so was arguably Nani's but anyway that was 2 years ago.Even Sky Sports pundits accepted we should have won that game. nachikethas 1,154
Can't blame Jose or moyse as well. They are at two most famous positions of world of sports not just football ffs. Both of them not going to show all the cards in for the first few matches cause they know one of them will be in the losers side and clearly they can't risk it that.we are talking or hoping for a long time not interim thing.in the end when one of this team will win epl and everyone will know the importance of this match

In fact, defensively as a team, United were too open and can't defend to save their lives. We exploited it till no end but just couldn't apply the finishing and we then saw City tore them to pieces weeks later. If anything, a draw then would probably have been fair. Possibly 4/5 nil.again with the "deserved" to win thing... that does not work in football dude. if united had been just 1-0 down at OT, and desperate for a goal to almost confirm them the PL, would you have bet against it... decisions go both ways. in the end, it all gets nullified. u get some, u dont get some. as for that game, we thulped the 1st half. united were still having a hangover from their munich first leg defeat but united came back strong in the 2nd half. as for 4/5-0... LOL...

didierforever 7,349
Munich?I am talking about the 11/12 game at OT on September.the 2009-10 league game vs united at OT, which ultimately played the biggest part in deciding the league, was played when united were playing munich in CL. thats what i meant. kellzfresh 7,229
I wont judge mou till he gets his traditional two dribbling wingers on the flanks. After willian comes he'll deploy his real tactics, which is quick and high pressing counter attack football i love. Barbara
