zolayes 14,489
Once we will have two proper fullbacks, our play will be better.Cant believe that in day when fullbacks have become so advanced they are basicaly most versatile players like Alaba, Marcelo, Lahm etc, we still play with stone age type fb like Iva.Last year he was decent, now is not anymore. But what bothers me more; Mou saying Iva plays because of height. What does the height be useful for if you dont know what to do with it? We still concede on corners, we still dont score headers.Iva is useless in both cases regardless of his height. So put someone who can actualy defend. You dont need height for that. But at the end of the day Im not sure what surprises me more: the fact that we dont play Baba over Iva even if the later is in super bad form or the fact why we bought Baba for so much in first place if he was brought only as backup in case of injury.only 2 of our signings made any sense at all . Begovic excellent and Pedro .. time will tell . the other 3 dont make sense at all the one who might make it "ISN'T READY"
MefiX19 1,092
Since Iva is injured I hope he will take his chance and perform at his best.

Despiadado.Maleante 1,046
If Mourinho thinks his not ready his admiring to starting the season with just 2 fullbacks in the squad. That in itself is a sackable offence. didierforever, lucio and didi007

Yeboii 1,844
His not going to start tomorrow, Mourinho clearly hinted at that He actually did. He said that Azpi was an option for the right back spot. Which obviously leaves the left back spot open for Baba. He even mentioned Azpi first. Thendo 1,088
Azpilicueta is one of four players he has at his disposal to replace the injured Branislav Ivanovic at right-back, which could mean an opening on the other side of the defence for Baba Rahman. The Ghanaian has made two appearances for the Blues since joining from Augsburg in August, though he is yet to make his Premier League bow. As Mourinho considers whether that could change when we take on Aston Villa today, he draws comparisons with a former player of his who also moved to Stamford Bridge having spent his whole career abroad. I go back to one of the best defenders the Premier League has ever had, Ricardo Carvalho, begins the manager. He was in big trouble for three, four, five months. He said he couldnt adapt to the change from the Portuguese League and the Champions League to the Premier League: the way attacking players were playing, the way he had to adapt and learn how to use his position and his body.He was a super player but it was hard for him for three or four months. Its a problem of experience and being adapted to the Premier League. Its depends on the characteristics of the player.Baba is really good with the ball, hes very fast, but hes learning how we play and how we defend. The fact he came to us in the last days of the market took from him the possibility to work in pre-season, but hes a good player for sure and we trust him.http://www.chelseafc.com/news/latest-news/2015/10/mourinho--characteristics-and-consequences.html?extcmp=SOCIA_TW_ENG_NEWS_PREMATCH
