I bet Benayoun made more impact than Torres for us last season.

No he didn't. He scored against Wigan when we were what already 5-0 up? and then hardly did anything else.... mainly due to injury.

Torres meanwhile, yes he did not do a lot in terms of scoring, but at least he made Drogba hungry to play again, which helped us climb rapidly up the table :D

Falcao is just what we need, i want Torres to have a 20-30 goal season as much as the next fan but if that don't happen what next? Drogba is a legend but is 34 this season there is only so much longer we can constantly rely on him and we cannot expect Danny to go from occasionally off the bench to main point off our attack in the space of 6 months (via a loan at Bolton).

Falcao and Torres can offer each other genuine competition for a first team birth and Drogba can still be our Giggs so to speak, if Torres is off form the chances are Falcao won't be and vice versa and if by some freak they are both off form then we have Didier aswel.

Falcao is on form, brimming with confidence and after mastering the Portuguese and Europa league will be hungry for the step up.

YES PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not sure. In this forum there thousands of pictures of Torres celebrating his only goal.

That goal made a superb impact. Goober.png

Ivanovic's baby son made more impact than Torres last season. not only did he score the same number of goals as the Spaniard, he also gave the fans something to cheer about and all of these didn't cost us a penny :lol:

Why do people dismiss falcao as nothing more than a poacher. His link up play at the copa America has been excellent. he's even made a couple of defence splitting passes.

Because most don't actually watch him.. He's not the new Inzaghi or Hernandez-like. Yeah inside the box maybe but Falcao is more complete. Great target-man, if he had height he would be the 'perfect' target-man.

I just hope the rumors about him extending his contract at Porto is untrue.
