Radamel Falcao

The prices are always inflated i Jan because the clubs don't want to sell and the buyers are desperate and the window is too small so everything is rushed. In the summer, on the other hand, we can get a price which much lower than the 'alleged' buyout clause. We can't afford to spend beyond reason anymore, we have the FFP to worry about.

Alleged?

Everyone at Atletico has made it perfectly clear of the price, it's written in the buyout and to add to that they said they will listen to offers. A player like Falcao WILL not get cheaper over a window. Falcao seems to come out daily and say he will leave one day and always seems to indicate us. They brought him for 40 mill and haven't payed all the money to porto yet. They failed to meet FFP and didnt get anything form the Europa League win. They need the money and we need a striker. we've posted profits for the first time. Stop worrying about FFP i'm sure the club know how to meet these laughable regulations.

Alright let's be realistic, we will not sign Falcao, or any major signing for that matter, in Jan due to the inflated prices.

If we want to be realistic we need to acknowledge that we have no strikers in the team for God's sake.

Definition of a striker: Player leading the line that scores goals.

We don't have a striker.

And I tend to believe the reports that Roman has WANTS Falcao.

He must come this winter.

We as a club are 255 million in profit this year, i dont think we have to worry about FFP in january, unless you want to spend 300million+

No we made 255 million and spent 253. Our profit this year, which was by the way the first year we made profit since Roman's arrival, was a mere 1.4 million.

Yes, alleged, as in no one know for sure the details of the contract between Falcao and Madrid, the 40m and the very existence of a buyout clause is just media speculation.

What are you taking about? Let me show you various quotes from the people the head of Atleti:

Here's confirmation of its existence from the president:

"“If they come along with his release clause; if they bring the money, they pay it and the player agrees, he doesn't even have to say goodbye,” Cerezo told a Madrid television channel.

General manager Gil Marin here saying "€60 million (£48m) for Falcao would solve all the economic problems at Atlético. "

Didn't you follow anything last year about Falcao extending his contract to get that very figure written on paper?

And again I dont kno why you think you know how to meet the regulations better than the clubs personell who are paid a lot of money to to this jobs.

Right now I want Falcao but if wisdom is to prevail I think cavanni will be the better option as he is 2yrs younger and in my opinion will be better than falcao possibly in two years time. Cavani is already a better all round player though.

Cavani is only a year younger than Falcao, makes absolutely no difference. Hoping for either one, kind of hoping more for Cavani myself though.
