I don't ever fear matches against Arsenal or Spurs at home. And I'm always hopeful to scrap wins away at their turfs.

Easy, under control, good match by us.

I have some negatives, but I won't even bother with them.

Zouma should receive more chances - and I hope he does. He still has some polishing in his game to be done (today he was perf though) and that comes with playing.

Willian is the most infuriating player ever. He works so hard, he gives his everything, but his end product is so poor. I really hope he gets any less frustrating, but it wasn't a bad match by him, just that, frustrating.

Oscar has been sprinkling some fancy passes here and there this season, I love it. His vision also improved a lot. It wasn't only the assist, he had a few other chances created or good passes to put his teammates in good positions.

Cesc was brilliant defensively and I think he sparkled in the attack too, he just didn't get the assist today, but it'll come Saturday when we need it the most.

Azpili - what an assist for Remy. Yeah, Loic still had a lot of work to do, but that was a nice picked pass nonetheless by Dave.

DD - simply unbelievable. I bubbled a lot at the beginning of the season that he was done. Then the UCL match against Sporting - I guess, lol, memory fails - and then Arsenal (I guess) and then COC (I also guess that's the order, lol, I know nothing, I'm Jon Snow) shut me up (the first match). He isn't a boy anymore and he has his limitations, of course he does, but his heart makes up for his legs and lungs. He's been amazing for us after a bad start (he was also coming off of an injury then).

F*ck me, but we didn't miss Diego today - and that's great because it shows how much more fire we have.

The thing with missing Matic now isn't even how much we'll miss him against Newcastle (and we will) is that now we definitely won't see Mourinho rotating anyone... which sucks. I wouldn't if I were him either. Unless Cahill doesn't play for precaution reasons.

strikers can impact midfielders performances, its a team game, having the right striker up top, can make a big difference to evryone

of course they can. if costa had started it would have been a different story and i agreed on that. but i dont think any thing would have changed with remy in that game.

not sure, maybe remy's pace, would push them further back, less of a high line,which they could play with drogba lack of pace, and it would allow midfielders to play balls down the channels for remy to run on to , making the most of the big OT pitch.

as for the non-abusing part of the post, i dont have a problem with people having a problem with team selection. go to the match thread and see for yourself how many people dint want DD to start.did i do it for everyone?

its about expressing it. its about giving our legend and our manager their respect and their due. calling our manager a "MORON" cos he started DD, is what rattled me. if you cant understand that simple thing, then i cant help an idiot like you. only you have embarassed yourself dude. firstly you had no clue what i was doing. secondly you had no clye why i was doing it. and thirdly, you still had to butt in and try to be a stud. so really, stop embarassing yourself

as for "monkey" i hope thats dealt with appropraitely!!!

how many balls did our midfielders play behind the defence for DD? just like today's instance where a ball was played behind the spurs defence and DD took towards the left wing, held it up and brought one of our CAMs into the game. our midfield was ineffective that day. fellaini did a proper JOB on cesc. it was not a striker issue.

I have never advocated for someone to be banned, but this monkey thing takes the cake. totally classless. This is 2014 and we still have people thinking like this. It is simply pathetic and repulsive. Smh. DD4ever, we've got your back on this.

just curious, do people here still want Vertongen as a Blue? Especially when we see Zouma put in performances like we saw today. I am still chuckling when Remy played him like a fiddle & scored that 3rd goal

Vertonghen just needs out of Tottenham. He's a talented player but certainly has marked weaknesses. Frankly I think he's much better suited as a DM rather than a CB.Most of the Belgian back line is made of players who would probably work out better as defensive midfielders.

I don't think Verts is a good fit for Chelsea but I was shocked that Barcelona went for Vermaelen in lieu of Verthonghen.
