The_Flash 1,144
Fully deserved. In my opinion, had always been better than Messi finally he is recognised. Incredible talent, so quick, such a goal machine. Imagine if we had him we'd be walking the league. Well Done Cristanio. You are no1
HD3D 1,038
I'm so proud of him...People often compare Messi and Ronaldo to other great legends of the game. But in my opinion, there is no argument that there has never been a player as passionate about the sport as him.People are quick to judge him as being a bad person because he doesn't react well to criticism, he's very transparent about his emotions and often times a sore loser. But the truth is, he came from a very poor family and everyone who has ever met him personally endorses he has a very good heart. His bad attitudes towards criticism and defeats can be attributed to his passion for the sport. I've had the chance to be close to him while doing volunteer work at Benfica's stadium during Portugal's game against Bosnia and it was easy to see he was a very cool guy.Personally, I prefer people like him who are very transparent about their feelings and weaknesses, to fake people who always put on a smile no matter what. But many others don't think this way.
-Kaplan- 410
what the hell is Messi wearing? He looks literally like some sort of clown, or is it my fangirlism on Cris showing?Him and his girlfriend were representing the colors of Barcelona. Take a closer look. Korea 734
They need to get rid of national coaches/captains voting.....All they do is vote for their buddy/player.... If anything it should be media + past ballon d'or winners (similar to the Heisman trophy). Granted, its still biased to a degree, but better than the current format...In addition, the time frame of the award should changed and reflect one season. Not a combination of 2. Shane 2,275
Fully deserved. Ronaldo is an incredible athlete and quite possibly one of the greatest of all time. You could put him at Centre half and he'd still be a boss.Fancy him to lead Portugal to World Cup glory in Brazil too.

NishC300 1,865
Lol why are people pissed about Ribéry's comments regarding us? Same way we talk about Moscow, Garcia ghost goal, Barcelona 2009 etc. Anyway a well deserved Ballon D'Or for Ronaldo. This FIFA XI is a joke..... Korea 734
"I won everything I could win with Bayern and individually. Ronaldo on the other hand did not win anything," Ribery told AZ."I am not sad that I missed out, but it does hurt a bit. I deserved to win the Ballon d'Or."It was clear that Ronaldo would win it. [Thomas] Muller deserves to be there, and so do [David] Alaba, [bastian] Schweinsteiger and [Arjen] Robben. Spike 12,049
Yet CRonaldo achieved nothing except scoring a lot of goals. What an important player he is. All those cups and trophies with Madrid. I'm envious. No denying his individual talent, though.
Magic Lamps 11,692
Ronaldo fully deserved this other than Ribery. It was the team effort that gave Bayern those titles. Ribery scored 10 goals or so last season, you can't win the Ballon d'or when aplayer who plays the exact same positon score multiple times that amount. Ronaldo is simply the superior footballer, Ribery is ok, but CR is one of the best ever. Just as Messi. Ribery does not deserve to even be in contention. btw all three are cunts. Also, Im not sure about you guys in England, but in NYC, I cant tell teenagers from being 16 to 26. In the western world, all teenagers look like their in their 20s... (maybe its cause i grew up with all italians). Back to the subject, Ronaldo never should of won.... He pretty much won because of the 2 leg international matches vs Zlatan. They extended for no reason. Madrid failed last season in everything and Cristiano was very close having Portugal failing to qualify as well.. Sheva. 5,373
Crybery. Ballon D'or is an individual award, and Ronaldo had a better 2013 than anyone. Simples.

Madrid failed last season in everything and Cristiano was very close having Portugal failing to qualify as well..Ignoring the prostitution stuff (and the associated hypocrisy), these awards are about the history of the game and Ronaldo simply deserves to have won this award at least once in his career. He's one of the absolute greats of the game, so if there's a chance to award him the trophy (like Messi having an underwhelming season) then the authorities will look to take it.It's similar to Hazard being awarded it. He didn't deserve it but he'll probably be in the reckoning in the future so they include him now. Ribery had a great season but if he never wins it then it really isn't ever going to be seen as an oversight. If Ronaldo never won one then it would be a shame.
