All going well then, and the board dont look incompetent at all.

Luckily I dont think Ancellotti is as good as the press make out -not done much recently -just inherired a brilliant AC squad, bit like Grant, and basically done fuck all with them. Get knocked out by Arsenal.

Cant believe Hughes has decided to go and work for that Thai crook. Oh well.

Now, the club are allegedly turning their attention to Spalletti -he is someone I really rate -dynamic and has done some good things with a limited budget at Roma.

He's a name I'm annoyed at myself for not bringing up. Good call, he did brilliantly at Udinese with no budget at all and has done great things with Roma as well.

Jesus NO !!! Their even linking us to Rafa the Jafa now. I just couldn't face a Scouse reject at my club. I'll tell you now that I will NEVER walk into Stamford Bridge all the time he is in charge, although I don't know why I am writing this as its obviously bollocks. Well it better be. :ballack:

Thats a very fair point. One could argue he inherited a strong squad but he would do the same at Chelsea.

But you wouldnt say the same about Empoli and Udinese and he turned both of them around big time.

methinks that any decent manager don't want what is now the poison chalice Chelsea footbal club, the board have really fucked up big time, so ok they sacked grant but is he really any worse than what's left.

mealsothinks that they're waiting for the euro 2008 to finish and go for big phil, i hope so 'cos i don't want the spaghetti geezer or mancini....it's unbelievable that they let sparky go to mancs2.

Well the stories today are saying that Spalletti has turned us down! Nothing to really confirm if that story is true though as there are no quotes whatsoever. But it is no draggin on more and more. Are we ever going to get a new manager? And who the hell is it going to be?

Amazing to see only 1 vote for Hiddink.

I don't think it is that suprising. I think most people would be happy with Hiddink would prefer to see others given the chance ahead of him.

The big question at the moment is: are we still looking at potential managers? Or have we already decided.

If we are to believe CFC, we have no approached any club for their manager, nor have we reached an agreement with any manager! So what does this mean? Who are our REAL targets? When are we going start approaching people?

At the moment we are looking like a right bunch of clowns with the way this is happening. I don't think that is Necessarily the case but lack of any noise from the club does not make things better.

Just waiting for the press conference with Kenyon and Buck sitting either side of a grinning.....McClaren :)

There are some things you should just not joke about.... THAT is one of them :D

It is looking more and more likely going to be a Euro manager, and as Hiddink has on several occasions said no, then it looks like Scolari. Unless my conspiracy theory is right and we will appoint someone random at the weekend after season ticket renewals :)

As much as I would love it, It will never happen.....Why?

Because it makes sense.

Lol, which leads on nicely to Ken 'I'm Pretty Mental Myself' Bates comments;

"I understand Abramovich went to Ancelotti to get his opinion on who the next boss should be and was furnished with two names - Frank Rijkaard and Roberto Mancini.

"What does he do? He offers the job to Ancelotti himself. Either he knows what he’s doing or he doesn’t. And I know where my money lies.

"In fact, the basic problem with Chelsea is that they have an owner who doesn’t know anything about football.

"And he, in turn, surrounds himself with lackeys who know precious little themselves.

"What do people like Bruce Buck, Peter Kenyon, and Eugene Tenenbaum really know about the game?

"And that is what makes the job impossible. After the way Chelsea have treated their last three managers, why should anyone want the job?"
