nyikolajevics 2,700
Think he will stay for at least 1 season, he loves Chelsea and wants to fight for his spot and give the club a good back up.I'm not sure about that... He is still one of the best GK's in the world, teams like Real Madrid, PSG and Monaco are reportedly after him. I would understand if he left. Stingray 9,441
I dont think for one moment it is decided. It is 'character' time. Can TC cut it with a Cech monument breathing down your neck. BlueLion.

Polo7 3,496
Jose also said he hopes no one comes in for Cech because Chelsea FC will respect Cechs decision. Pretty much confirms he will leave. Can see lots of clubs coming in for Cech. BenIsLegend

Etoo fils 45
He wants to go but where? All the best teams have their GK.In UK media, they are speaking about PSG. Here in Paris, everybody know it's bullshit because they have Sirigu and they are fighting with FFP.Moreover they have a young GK on loan who probably is the future GK of France: Areola. They have a salary cap and Cech has big wage. OneMoSalah 8,886
Think it makes sense to sell him. No point paying a number 2 goalkeeper over 100k a week when hes hardly gonna play because I can see Courtois being our number 1 for the next 10 years. BenIsLegend 475
Monaco may now test #CFC resolve to retain Cech. The club’s stance is complicated that they have one extra foreign player age 21+ (Guardian)Love Big Pete but if he wants to go then Monaco wouldn't be a bad place for him to go. Will get first team football since Stekelenberg is pants nowadays, will play in CL, he will get big wages with no taxes and get to live in Monaco which is pretty great.Monaco might also give us a larger fee than some other club since they can afford to. zolayes
Chelsea Legend 11 4,062
Unfortunately for Big Pete the best time to sell him from a Chelsea perspective is in the January window. It makes no sense to sell him now, give Courtois four months to get up to speed with being Chelsea's no.1 and then allow Cech to sign elsewhere once Courtois has proven he's settled. CMS 382
Just read an article in the "Telegraph earlier today. Thought I'd share an excerpt of it.Along with Lampard and Drogba, Cech is to Chelsea what Steven Gerrard is to Liverpool, what Ryan Giggs is to Manchester United and what Thierry Henry is to Arsenal. His name should echo around the ground whenever he is inside the stadium – whether he’s on the pitch or not.To remain on the substitutes’ bench would be an enormous waste. Aged 32, Cech could play at the top level for another 10 years. He would currently be number one at any other club in the Premier League and, apart from Bayern Munich, Europe. In fact his value begins dropping from this point on.Schwarzer is a capable back-up for now, but the job is to find a homegrown deputy for the next decade. Ruddy is still a good shout although Jamal Blackman has a contract until 2019, but he needs first-team experience somewhere. Popular Post! Sidzeret 2,257 Posted August 20, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted August 20, 2014 Should be pretty hard for him to oust Courtois off the No.1 spot considering how good our defense are and how good Tibo is.Maybe its time for him to move on. He'll go out as Chelsea's greatest ever goalies. #ForeverBlueLike TOPB said, a cup-tied Cech in the January window or a second-choice GK next summer will fetch us a lesser transfer fee.Still can't believe Fernando fucking Torres is outlasting all our legends. Sad really. Sovieticus, The only place to be, The Rising Sun and 2 others
CHOULO19 24,332
For me, he should stay until January at least. To push Thibaut all the way until he is settled. Competition is healthy, especially for Thibaut. It's the main motivation to develop. Chelsea Legend 11
